My experience was, all the people in the car have to get out, & Q to have their thumbprint checked on a scanner...& old ladies or ladies in kebayas or in traditional attire, have to step aside & scrutinised by a woman ICA officer...all this while, MAS was doing gardening in a house in Johor.
