Man arrested for stealing cash card

SINGAPORE - A 39-year-old man was arrested for suspected theft of a cash card from a vehicle at a multi-storey car park located along Teban Gardens Road.
On December 30, 2012 at about 6.24 pm, a 39-year-old man made a police report that his cash card containing a stored value of about $40 was stolen from his pickup.
Officers arrested the suspect at Teban Gardens on February 13, and found four 4D tickets bought using the stolen cash card, and a cash card believed to be stolen from another vehicle in his possession.
The man is believed to have targeted unsecured vehicles where the owners had left their cash cards in the In-vehicle Units (IU).
He will be charged for theft and may be jailed for up to 3 years and fined.
