According to this link, http://www.sharelor.net/1/post/2014/03/tribute-who-exactly-is-malaysia-airlines-captain-zaharie-shah-of-mh370.html

Capt. Zaharie Shah was mentioned that he made his own Boeing 777 flight simulator. That he was very passionate about flying. When he was away from piloting an actual Boeing 777, he built his own simulator to practice even more. A B777 simulator that cost more than US$10,000.

Ever wondered why someone would want to spend so much time practising piloting a B777 even after his job was done? Is not flying a B777-200 as a job enough to keep someone happy to return home and forget about his job and do something else?

This theory may not be the first nor the last, that he was actually practising flying through a route that evades radar and with less than the usual array of equipment to guide him. The engine manufacturer of the RR Trent confirmed they had received data confirming the engine was running 4 hours after the ground lost contact with the aircraft. So perhaps the aircraft had been hijacked after all. The question would be, where did he land and what happened to the passengers. Just theorizing for we are being led on a merry goose chase without any clus as to what happened since the news was published.

wah, I fly Flight Sim X also, after a while get bored.

Good thing lucky when young want to be a pilot and with Flight Sim X find flying is a boring job, mundane. All features are on auto, do what? No wonder plane crashed, bored pilot find chiobu to the cockpit to have sex and crash planes.

I have similar thoughts as well.

FBI should review (if they have not done that) his flight simulator log files to understand his recent flight and landing simulations, eg. has he been recently simulating landing on non-air strips such as rough terrains, roads, fields, etc.

go check out Youtube, one fella successfully landed a heavy (747 is known as heavy) on an aircraft carrier.

Is he the one?

Also can check on Youtube, did this fella did something special like what you said and posted it on Youtube?

Flying is a skill that will regress if u don't practice. Modern aviation technology had already change the job nature of flying from stick and rudder man to aviation system manager. Pilots nowadays seldom get to fly the plane manually. As such there are concern that in an emergency when the pilots need to takeover the handling of the plane, those skill needed will be not be adequate to deal with the situation.

Re: NEW VIDEO - 12 March 2014 - Bomoh Perform Again !

actually the reverse is true.

Planes are expensive toys like A380 cost US450M to buy. Cant afford plane to drive by human and so all go auto. In case of problem, got evidence from computer data better than you say or I say if go to court.

Planes are heavy and cannot fly by human. If not for auto pilot flying all passengers will be sea sick which is no diff in a sea choppy. You can feel this sea sickness when planes are queuing to land. Each plane circles round the airport to take turns to land is on manual flying and you get sea sick straight away if you are not well.

Go buy a Flight Sim X and try flying, on manual flying commercial plane the height/ altitude can drop and rise 500m in seconds or sway to left and right in seconds, it is like on a choppy sea. A bit of nose down can increase speed and dive 1,000m and ATC will call you quickly to move up to the designated height. Hard to control plane manually.

IN what could be the last chilling sighting of missing Flight MH370, an oil rig worker believes he spotted the Malaysia Airlines jetliner burst into flames on Saturday morning.
New Zealander Mike McKay, who is working on a rig operating in the Gulf of Thailand, was so certain he saw the ill-fated flight on fire that he emailed his employers, urging them to pass the information onto authorities.
“Gentlemen. I believe I saw the Malaysian Airlines flight come down. The timing is right,” he wrote.

“I tried to contact Malaysian and Vietnamese officials days ago. But I do not know if the message has been received.
“I am on the oil ring Songa-Mercur off the coast of Vung Tau.
“The surface location of the observation is Lat 08 22’ 30.20” N Lat 108 42.22.26” E.
“I observed (the plane?) burning at high altitude at a compass bearing of 265* to 275*”
Mr McKay is working on the oil rig Songa Mercur off Vung Tau, on the south east coast of Vietnam. This would put the plane in the same general area where a Chinese satellite has spotted a suspected crash site.

In his email to his employers on March 12 he claims he saw flames in the sky which quickly extinguished.
“From when I first saw the burning (plane) until the flames went out (still at high altitude) was 10-15 seconds. There was no lateral movement, so it was either coming toward our location, stationary, or going away from our location,” he wrote.
“The general position of the observation was perpendicular/south west of the normal flight paths.”
Mr McKay said the possible plane appeared to be in one piece.

“It is very difficult to judge the distance but I would say 50 to 70 kms along the compass bearing 260-277,” he wrote.
“The sea surface current at our location is 2-2.3 knots in the direction of 225-230.
“The wind direction has been E-ENE averaging 15-20 knots.

“(We see the con trails every day) and at a lower altitude than the normal flight paths or on the compass bearing 265 to 275 intersecting the normal flight paths at normal altitude but further away.”
Michael Jerome McKay signed off with “Good Luck”.

Vietnam’s air traffic management deputy general director Doan Huu Giasaid has reportedly confirmed they received Mr McKay’s original email.
“He said he spotted a burning [object] at that location, some 300km southeast of Vung Tau,” he reportedly said.
Other Vietnamese officials have reportedly since dismissed the account after not finding anything in the water.

US ABC News anchor Bob Woodruff confirmed he spoke with Richard Beaton at Japanese Idemitsu Oil & Gas Co, who hired Songa Mercur to drill, and confirms Mr McKay’s email is real.
Vietnamese naval officer Le Minh Thanh told America’s ABC News that Vietnamese officials sent a plane to the area to investigate the man’s claims, but the search was fruitless.

However, Strategic Aviation Solutions chairman Neil Hansford said superior Australian search aircraft should be sent to the area.
“If you go out in an aircraft with a GoPro out the window you’re not going to find much are you?,” he said, referring to the Vietnamese search efforts.
“Australia’s sent Orions up there and we fly an Orion at about 500 feet off the water and it’s got thermal imaging and everything.

“If I had the training of an Australian I’d see it (from an Orion).”
Mr Hansford said Mr McKay’s account “made sense”.
“It would be quite believable that, on an oil rig at that time of the morning with a clear sky, if he looked up he would see something lower than he thought and he’s seen it on fire and he’s given an exact position,” he said.

“The position he’s given is in the area that the Chinese have now found, which is nowhere near where the Malaysians have been looking and it’s where the Vietnamese, because of all the confusion with the Malaysians, have stopped looking.”

On the rig, Mr McKay would have been sitting up to 100m above the water, Mr Hansford said.
“You’d see that. If you’re up on an oil rig you’re awfully high up off the water. So he’s sitting up in an elevated position and looking at a clear sky he sees something low and on fire, that’s disappearing,” he said.
“Being a mariner he knows what the latitude and longitude of what his oil rig is. He’s then looked up at the image and he’s determined how many degrees the aircraft was at from him and he’s said it’s 50-70km from him.
“An experienced person on the water would be able to use the instruments he’s got because they need to have all of that instrumentation for the helicopters coming to take them on and off the rigs.”

It shouldn't fluctuate that much if the plane is trim properly. It difficult to fly if u are playing with a keyboard or spring loaded joystick or flight York because u don't get to feel the force exerted on the flight York.

Arabs are now laughing at bomoh tactics!

Malaysia
Now Arabs say Putrajaya using ‘magic’ to find plane with bomoh’s antics at KLIA

Alarabiya.net in a report about the bomoh (Malay for shaman) carrying out rituals at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) had said that Putrajaya had allowed witch doctors to carry out rituals at the KLIA in a desperate attempt to find the plane.

The website also aired a video that showed the ritual being carried out by well-known Malaysian bomoh who calls himself Raja Bomoh Sedunia.

In the article, entitled “Malaysia uses magic as a last resort to find flight MH370”, the portal said that the bomoh had come with several assistants to KLIA and carried out the ritual that involved the use of two coconuts, a magic carpet and the continuous chanting of "Allahu Akbar".

The bomoh and his ritual has been subject to ridicule by social media users who compared the ritual to a “magic flying carpet” as three of the bomoh's assistants sat on a carpet while performing the ritual.

"No, this is not a directive from the government. It is not likely that we would have sanctioned any move which was against Islamic practices,” he said in parliament.

Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had demanded to know who in Putrajaya had sanctioned the bomoh to conduct rituals inside KLIA to locate the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

He said the presence of the bomoh had made Malaysia a laughing stock among the international community. – March 13, 2014.

Anwar: ‘Probe bomoh activities at KLIA’

KUALA LUMPUR: Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (PKR-Permatang Pauh) called for an immediate and thorough investigation into the bomoh activities at KLIA that is "insulting Islam" and also making the country a laughing stock around the world.

Urging the authorities to investigate the people who hired the bomoh and the payment, he told the Dewan Rakyat that they are clearly tarnishing Malaysia's image, leading to the country being labelled incompetent in handling the MH370 crisis.

Anwar stressed that the bomoh will not be there without approval.

"This is insulting Islam and its teachings. Why is the religious department only investigating it now?

"Why are the Muslim NGOs or Umno-linked groups silent on this (bomoh activity)?" Anwar asked at a press conference later.

However, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim refuted the claims that Umno hired the bomoh.

"I believe Umno or the government did not hire any bomoh.

If someone hired the bomoh, they would not do it publicly.

"Bomohs would do things secretly behind closed doors. This one (at KLIA) is not bomoh, they are actors like the P. Ramlee drama Do Re Mi," he told reporters at the parliament lobby.
