there is a reason why till now Johor is still buying water from Singapore. in current situation, they do nothing buy back at 50 cent, and sell to its citizen at RM3.50.
why would they want to invest in a multimillion dollar infrastructure which cost millions to maintain yearly?
Sell clean water to us and price it at $1.30 per m3?the economics are the same.....if it only cost 2.40 rm to treat the water, they can continue providing their citizens with water at 0.80rm per m3......and they can sell the excess to Singapore at $1.30 per m3 and make 12.60 rm profit per thousand gallon!!!!it's like how PAP squeeze our balls!!!
Not only that having water treatment plant means now the balance of power is in their court.
