I see lots of thriving social democratic countries.

Are you anti-socialist or are you anti-communist? If you are anti-socialist, then you will want to do away with any social programs. Even the capitalist country called USA as big social programs like Medicaid, pension (Social Security), tax-funded education etc.

But they do not hinder those with talents to achueve their maximum potential. Its these talents that will provide the most in terms of taxes. If they fail to achieve their potential, or flee, then the possible wealth of the remainers will decrease.and if it continues, it gets smaller and smaller.
What dr m should do is take advantage of whoever is good in the country and he is not doing that.
