best is picnicking and nehnehpicking at east coast fark. can also use tents to earn sextra incum from banglas on day off. win win with only errant speeding pmds to worry about.Though I am saddened by the loss of innocent human lives, I believe the whole episode could have been avoided if the Pinays do not crowd and picnic on Orchard road area pavements. I am sure there are safer places for picnic, like Botanical Gardens which is free admission and many other parks like Bishan, etc. I guess this phenomena of picnicking on Orchard road area public walkways and pavements started after the greedy PAP government sold the land which ION sits on to private developers. The Pinays used to picnic at that huge garden green grass patch when I was a much younger.
Changi and Pasir Ris beach can also. Always a public toilet and washroom nearby to clean up and freshen for the next client.best is picnicking and nehnehpicking at east coast fark. can also use tents to earn sextra incum from banglas on day off. win win with only errant speeding pmds to worry about.

Boss ah boss, your pro-PMD stance has gone to your head. In a bad way! This happened because the government banned PMDs.
Bro some CECA lass got killed by a tree picnicking in garden. Loong even compose a sad poem, remember? You think he will make a poem for the pinays?Though I am saddened by the loss of innocent human lives, I believe the whole episode could have been avoided if the Pinays do not crowd and picnic on Orchard road area pavements. This can happen to anybody ... the driver lost control of his car and rammed into whoever was in its way.
It is unfortunate that it happened at Lucky Plaza and the Pinoys got rammed. If it happens in Chinatown, it will be the Chinks. If it is in Little India, it will be the Indians.
Phv were meant for those 55 to 65 year old age group to continue working and earn a reasonable sustinence until 65 when they can have access to the monthly annuity...of course if they work the govt continues to collect taxes and have reasons for lesser handouts...many mnc manufacturers regardless of the size of their office here have moved out to my Burma viet etc to test water knowing full so the risk but also the loving govt will welcome them back with open arms as long as they can pay...agreed both pmd and long walks frequent exercising etc will make a person healthierThe car that killed those poor ladies was a PHV. The country currently has 75,000 PHVs and one of the reasons why there are so many is because people don't want to use public transport unless they have to.
If they could purchase PMDs they wouldn't need to hire private vehicles and the numbers would drop considerably and there is every possibility that this lethal PHV would not have been on the streets on that fateful day. In fact it might not have existed in the first place.
The way to reduce the road fatality rate is to introduce an all out campaign to get people out of their cars and on to PMDs. In fact PMDs should be subsidised to encourage their use. Of course a few pedestrians will be run over once in a while but they're far more likely to survive being hit by a 20kg PMD going 25kph compared to a 1000kg car going 60kph.
The net result will be less people dead from road accidents which has to be a good thing for everyone.
Sinkieland has been doing campaigns to reduce or eliminate food wastage.
The thought of those Pinays' picnic food getting ran over by the car makes me sad.
