Police presence and NRIC registration is normal procedure at hospitals

Reports have also been coming in that peaceful protesters and demonstrators have begun assembling in small pockets at the Geylang and Mountbatten Road junction and the Orchard Road and Patterson Road junction holding placards reading "Democracy" and "Down With the Dictator" and chanting slogans.

What a crock of shit. Gopalan should stop smoking drugs.

I went through the blogsite and am very suspicious of the writer's report which mentioned that MM Lee sufferred from a "massive heart attack" and his wife is in coma now in the same hospital. I can verify that Mrs Lee is not in the hospital for quite a while and is at home.

MM Lee is an important public personality and touches the lives and livelihoods of S'pore and it is in the public interest to know of his state of health Pronto! Remember when he had atrial fibrillation last year and was fitted with a pacemaker, the news was almost immediately released by the gov. Just be sensible.

i for a moment never doubt Gopalan's integrity...

he speaks from his hearts..sometimes what he said may be thought provoking, but he's not far from the truth....

KNN, this coward has extraordinary sensitive ears and can hear news over the other side of the globe while we here on the ground could not hear a thing.

Anyone of his kind passing by the ECP and Marina Centre Suntec City and Stamford this morning with road closures and police men and men in red shirts all over the roads would definitely want to believe this chap. Any wind that blows from this side of the globe becomes a hurricane to him over the other side of the globe.

Here are the links to his "latest report" (when was his last report before his "latest report"?) -

What difference does it make? Why should we all be cheering and celebrating?Things will not get cheaper. ERP will not be shut down. Bills will not go down. I hope he will be able to pull through if the rumour is true. He will recover again. It is a torture to have to go through ops after ops at his age.

Don't know why suddenly felt a short streak of sadness, dun really want to feel that. I am angry cos' he never help me when his dogs play bastard on me.
I know i am a hypocrite.
sigh...hope he is ok! sign off genuinely.

Lee Kuan Yew Heart Attack, The 87 year old Singapore strongman, Lee Kuan Yew, had suffered a massive heart attack at 9.34 pm
Lee-Kuan-Yew-Heart-Attack.jpg

yesterday Singapore time.

He is reported to be presently in the Intensive Care Cardiac Unit of the Singapore General Hospital under sedation and respiration, carefully watched by a team of doctors, with his son whom he appointed the Prime Minister and his 2 other children beside him.
It is understood his wife is also in the same hospital in a coma now for several years.

It is uncertain if he can recover at his age, and the pacemaker which he has in his heart is believed to have contributed to it.
According to reports, the pacemaker malfunctioned triggering this massive heart attack.

With the entire country run by this one man, the fear that business leaders and bankers had for very long may have finally come true; that such a happening can destroy the business confidence and cause total destruction in the small island city state.

The reason for the lack of confidence is due to the general lack of confidence in his son’s, the prime minister’s capacity to govern thereby creating a power vacuum with no single person able to assume control in the island.

In fact reports have been coming in that some investors have already started transferring their funds overseas creating a fear there could be a run on the banks.

There are reports that several top officials who have amassed fortunes under Lee Kuan Yew’s patronage and connections have begun to have the jitters and started moving their funds overseas.

A few high ranking civil servants and judges who were responsible for human rights abuses against his political opponents have also been on alert ready to leave the island any minute.

Reports have also been coming in that peaceful protesters and demonstrators have begun assembling in small pockets at the Geylang and Mountbatten Road junction and the Orchard Road and Patterson Road junction holding placards reading “Democracy” and “Down With the Dictator” and chanting slogans.

The situation is very fluid and I will be reporting on the situation as it unfolds. There have been numerous telephone calls to the Prime Ministers Office and the Singapore newspaper the Straits Times for information.

no picture no talk.

For me, it is one thing to disagree with policy but another thing to wish LKY's death. If indeed he did suffer from a heart attack, i wish him speedy recovery.

Nevertheless, I have little trust in this Nair character. After all he is hiding in the USA. One way to tell if there is any validity is whether there is large police presence at SGH, whether key officials are still doing their scheduled meetings. Where is PM, DPM supposed to be today. And also whether there is increased police presence in sensitive areas - Istana, Oxley, Padang, Parliament, speaker's corner.

My my... everyone's getting all touchy feely today.

Hi Sam,

It appears that only a Pakistan news agency is reporting on the internet. What is your take?

However, to me, if it is true, it appears that the SG government agency(ies) and/or financial agency and/or sovereign funds may wish to take whatever defensive steps, if can, at the open of the Asian stock markets, before making any annoucement. Sometimes, no news is bad news.

This is just a copy and paste from Bolumpar Nair's blog..how could the pakis post without any comfirmation:oIo::oIo::oIo:

Good thing is in a few hours we will see if Nair is a crock of sh*t or truly a man with connections to the inside power structure. I believe it is the former. It will also reveal more about the man - just imagine if he did make it to MP!

Think of it this way. If opposition did hold some protests (down with dictator) it would be in the interest for them to publicize. So far no such news.

It appears unusual that so far, it appears that only a Paskitani news agency has reflected that matter, unsubstantiated so far.

No one should celebrate the death of any other individual. May be, at a later date, others may celebrate his achievements and successes.

I wish a few of you folks who reside in SG, could kindly do a recce outside or along Oxley Road, and the back lane of his residence, as well as the SGH, and determine whether or not there is any unusual number of certain types of motor vehicles and people.

However, a few hours after the Asian stock markets opened, I assume that the news or the lack thereof, may enlighten us.
