Re: PMO to lodge police report over fake statement on Mr Lee Kuan Yew
There is more to this than bad communication and PR. The fact of the matter is that both the media and the govt has lost credibility.
LKY was hospitalised for two weeks before it was announced in the media.
LHL announced on a Friday that he was going in for some cancer operation on a Friday, while LKY was on mechanical support.
LHL's operation successful - shows him in hawker centre etc.
Then LKY's hospitalisation was announced.
There is extreme insecurity in the govt - that SG cannot afford to have two members of the founding family in hospital.
What does it tell you about the rest of the invisible cabinet?
Notice the minimal 'get well' wishes from individual members of the cabinet, even if perfunctory?
This just shows how fucked up our government is running this country.
Epic failure in public relation and media communication.
A simple update on PMO website and other government related websites could easily quench all this falsehood and clarify the issue.
What happen is at the most crucial time, PMO website is down for maintenance the instance the doctored image went viral last night.
PMO website hasn't been up last time I check before posting.
Even old fart's birthday celebration photo posted by Heng Swee Kiat has to blackout the background.
What are they ashamed of?
Is there something they want to hide?
Just like some netizen say, "During GE, when poll result of a ward is delayed, you know PAP has lost it. Likewise, you know he's gone."
