if looking near HH vicinity. only sky exec by setia and ujana by uem is the closest to completion. even that is promised at 2012 to 13. Best condo developments currently are molek pines and straits view for now which are closer to 1st link are already built that's where you want to be because its on everyone's wishlist. You don't want to go to one which is not exclusive enough (esp for own stay) and you'll get undesirable neighbors or degrading exterior facades because units don't pay up the maintenance etc.

I suggest getting the smallest terrace you can find. That's how I end up with bayou water village at leisure farm. Everything outside even the garden is maintained by the estates. Easy peasy. The built up is perfect for me well and my mum with perhaps an occasional visitor. Actually the built up is not exactly anywhere bigger than an equivalent 3 bedroom apartment. And the good thing is usually developments like these are comparatively low density (guess you should know since you're in HH) and you don't have to share car park with people denting your car doors etc. I guess buy apartments/condo units for rental returns especially areas targeting expats or non-local locals e.g. KLians sent to JB for work and don't bring their family down etc.

Anywayz hope you'll find your dream home in time to come!

Thanks Euphony, I have heard abt Straits View. It was said to be one of the best in JB. Guess I shld go & do some more research on it. If the built up is relatively same as a 3 bedroom apartment, then shld be ok for me. I will check out bayou water village too. Thanks.

managed to dig out recent video tour of iskandar projects on youtube in various state of finish. enjoy!

Although I have not been in to check prices and quality, there is a shop along Jalan Tampoi, keep left past Giant and Indian temple. It has a variety of painted metal swings & seesaws. If you do go, please let us know if they are of good quality and reasonably priced?

What about KSLcity? Anyone has info about the residences/condominium section of the project? Price range?
I only saw their website, and by the look of the floorplans quite impressive. Especially the Sky Villas. Wow! Like bungalows, complete with private swimming pool & private lifts. Just imagine, a 7000 sqf high rise apartment?!
The only set back, at least for me, is the roads around the area and the traffic

I happened to check out the shop last Friday on the way back across the Causeway. The shop is run by an old couple. It has a variety of swings, but I think they are built for lover birds sitting next to each other, or sitting on 2 seats facing each other. I am looking for a simple single seat for a kid. I found Saturday a shop at 151 Changi Road. It sells the swing I like, but sporting it is a problem. Prefer to sind in Johor.

1 word. Pricey!

I think its one of the most if not the most expensive developments in JB. Plus is its very close to 1st link and you go downstairs for food and groceries (tescos). Minuses include the traffic (surrounding are all small roads), no greenery of any sort. Not sure whether GRR scheme also applies to the larger units.

Pardon me, but wat is GRR scheme? Actually, I find that this location quite good becos it is quite near to CIQ. I dont mind staying there. But still abit skeptical abt this part of JB city. It seems that ksl city condo comes with a 4 tier security. Sounds impressive. It might be an alternative for me since most of the condo developments in Nusajaya will be only completed in a few years.....And most of it are booked.

Im on a diet too.

Doing a bit of the cross trainer, walking and eating less food (Sorry should be trying to eat less food).

Yet the kilos are piling on and moving into the obesse range.

Help!!!:(:(:(:(:(

Lucky to be able to eat prata! I'm on a severe diet [just too fat] so all this delicious food talk is killing me.
I trust you know roumenia pickle? Still available fresh twice a year in Malacca. Buah rumia to some. Please alert me should you find it.
For some things e.g. dried prawns, the market behind the old Giant in Perling is cheaper. Very friendly place on weekend mornings, with more stalls set up on the road.
Be prepared for a huge number of food stalls in this Giant's car park during Ramadan. The Johor version of nasi padang is as good as the best. Miserably hot time of the year, but a limited time suffering is worth it.

Any good GP in JB will be able to make referral to a child psychiatrist.

You can try Klinik Neo and Lim at Taman Angerrik or Polyclinik Anggerik. The doctors here are reasonably good and should be able to make decent referrals.

Also at Regency/columbia asia they should be able to refer.

My opinion regarding all child related issues is to visit KK. They have the best expertise in the region. I have been there a couple of times (using subsidy) and the care was not bad.

The only issue is the wait time.

My friend from India visited a psychiatrist there.

Charges as follows:

1) Consultation with a Super Specialist every 3 weeks S$ 18
2) Medications for 3 weeks buy outside at Pharmacy S$ 3.5

My friend recovered after 2 months of treatment but is on medication for another 6 months at lower doses.
Alas that is India and we are pretty far from there

Do they have specialistfor child pshyciatrist(don't know how to spell lah)?

Grago thanks for the tip off on Fresh Toddy.

Bro just as much as i love it.... i wont be able to find it unless you are able to help me find the place.

Best go KK. Initial wait longer but reasonably flexible once you have a foot in the door in terms of appointment and schedule.

Bros and sis here, my friend is looking for a child phyciatrist(don't know how to spell), her child is giving a lot of problems in school but KK have to wait very long queue. She suspect he might have ADHD. Outside private very expensive. Kindly post here is you have any contact please. Thank you in advance.

hi 2b, for bayou water village I hear from the sales rep all the remaining units are booked up. They still have a few units left but this will come with ID package and they will charge for it. so it depends on your needs I guess. The interior usable built up is 1477sq ft. I think people will say small! I say just nice haha.

this is a guaranteed rental return. meaning you buy a studio unit for example, you lease it to KSL, they will give you returns of about 1.2-6k/month (if I don't remember wrongly) for 3 years. You can only shift in after that. Its expensive comparatively according to psf people say they already added in the GRR they're giving you into the asking price. sigh, these days its crazy everywhere we go and it is like everything is booked up.
