I believe now more Japanese will come in to seek for safe place for their family....maybe investment as well:smile:

Hmmm... Japanese have a lot of choices with the amount of money they have, their love for their country is way above their fear of the unstable ground and feary tsunami waves. If Japanese migrate, most often it is for the love of a certain lifestyle they cannot have in Japan... hence their presence in Hawaii and some parts of US. But i was told a group of Japanese investors purchase a big chunk of the bungalow land at Ledang Heights.

There are Koreans who chose Malaysia as a home though. You might have read about Koreans moving to KL due to the comparatively low cost of living. There are a number of them living in Permas Jaya. Some over Nusa Bestari side as well... opening minimarts and restaurants.

I am looking for a tuition teacher to come to my house to teach my son. Since you have school going children, I was wondering whether you have any contacts?

Thanks in advance for helping out.

Hi cathylmg,
I do not any contact for a tuition teachers. So far I am tutoring my sons, they are in primary school so I think I can still manage that. Sorry.

Very difficult to waste water in Spore with the high cost of water and the water conservation tax.

At the moment i am not using a filter though quite a few of my neighbours have installed them. For drinking and cooking purposes i just source it from the supermarkets.

I already brought my toy swimming pool to my house in ST. My daughter has been pushing me to let her use it. Will let her use right after I have the water filter installed. Btw, what water filter are you using and where did you get it?

You are right about the water. It fill so nice to wash to toilets and the car pouch plus the car itself by spraying lotsa water on it. I wouldn do it in Singapore.

Let me put it politely. I am but a single Singaporean. I cant change Singapore nor can i change the world.

Look at it this way. How many people truly observed Earth Hour? And for those who did why not more than one hour?

Look at it differently now. When we go on holidays to cheaper countries lets not shop <<we could be making a nuisance of Singaporeans right>>

We could go on arguing like this.

Oh please ! don't bring the bad habits over and make a nuisance of singaporean. One day, they may start charging singapore owner non-subsidised price just like the petrol. Then we start complaining like a typical spoil brat ! When is that going to end ? is this the true colour of typical singaporean ? Doesn't it bother you that oil may one day depleted because of wastage ? Who will be suffering ? Your kids and their off-spring in future.

My mum is very good at saving electricity. She keeps all the lights off in Spore and just has one light turned on. I find that annoying cause light to me is positive energy and darkness not my cup of tea. Well to each his own.

My mum also switches off the electric cooker during the last couple of minutes just as you do too. I was fine with that except on a couple of occassions when my tea did not brew to the extent i wanted it to.

One way I learn to save (however insignificant it is) electricity especially applicable to those using electric stoves when cooking is to switch it off towards the last bit of cooking perhaps about 2-3 minutes ahead and let the remaining heat from the stove work itself into your pan to finish it off.

have a great time living in JB all of you bros and sis!!

My good friend Wuqi has somehow misunderstood me or read me wrongly. He has helped me and guided me so much and how could i not be happy for him and everyone else.

Il explain my case some time.

whoa what's with the recent spike in temperature here in this forum. I think we're all aware and also mindful of maintaining a green livelihood as well as a harmonious forum be it nusajaya or kempas or the greater JB area. Perhaps words are misconstrued or worded wrongly. QUOTE]

I love it too.

But then the price tag is attrocious...

Come to think of it in 2009 lots of properties were available at 250k+
350-400k+ then was considered expensive already.

And now the prices for clusters in the range of 700k-900k.

What a spike?

And the interior deco they showcase is really very nice. If I had the money, I will also buy the 2 1/2story cluster house.

Anybody knows where fresh pork is available apart from the super markets? I helped myself to 2kg of spare ribs from AEON JUsco the other day. Cost me about S$ 24.

Reasonable eh?

Contra that was quite possible. I mean i was just shocked and decided to raise the issue.

:smile::smile:

Anyway found an excuse to head to Bukit Indah today to Eminent again. Thankfully the lady was not around to stress me. Enjoyed a good 1 hour foot reflexology for Rm 38. My wife was not done with her highlighting of her hair yet. So i continued with a one hour aroma oil body massage for Rm 70.

Quite relaxing.

However i found their aroma oil to be not that great. Gonna give it a miss in future.

Also the last time (on Sat or Sun cant remember) i used the salt they recommended to soak my feet. Again... nothing fantastic.

So from next time i must tell myself to stay away from the upselling and just focus on the Basic Services they provide.

The basic services are great, great service and great quality of service. Must thank Wuqi a million times for introducing this beauty of a place to me.

Hi Analytical Professor,

It seems after the reflexology session, you got more stressed instead..

Had a nice time watering my pine trees and the garden herbs too.

Noticed my pines had some sticky white substance on it. So i had to spray the insecticide... Phew ... tiring...

Once the Coastal Highway comes up going to Bukit Indah from Causeway will be a breeze. So i cant wait for that to happen.

I wont need to use the Pasir Gudang highway which is not in that great shape at the moment especially as one drives towards Plentong side.

The good thing about the toll roads are that they will be well maintained.

Haha the discussion on water bills is timely. I am a heavy user as i:
1) hose my car everyday
2) water my grass everyday if it does not rain
3) wash the exterior of the house at least once a week
4) run my washing machine alternate days as i perspire easily and heavily + active lifestyle.

Despite all these, my water bills were running at < MYR50 per month until recently... MYR110 boommzzzzz

Pressed panic button and started suspecting could there be piping leakage? I have since slowed down my usage and be a bit more conscious. Hopefully it comes down to below MYR50 per month...

Must be a pipe burst - not a pipe leak or a faulty meter. Get an approved plumber from SAJ website to check the meter.
visit www.saj.com.my

Rough calculation shows that you are using about 60m3 of water - assuming it's within a month. 60000 liters is HUGE. Hope you can sort this out soon and good luck.
