Thanks everyone for your kind words, i will press on regardless.

For those who have not collected annual pass, Wednesday is the best day to go as the counters are still open (counted 5 open today)
and the Medini mall is open as well. Good for taking pictures as well but mainly outside area.

legoland? i think there's nothing much to take photo of outside .. i was snapping pictures all the while in legoland despite the burning heat. best to go in early morning or evening to escape the scorching afternoon sun but take notes most rides close at 6pm. Wish they could extend the time

I visited legoland last weekend evening on the advice of bro wuqi. I stayed from 4-7pm. The advantage of evening over morning is that the lights in the Lego models will be lighted up by 6pm. The last 1 hour is a good time to take photos and marvel at the lighted models in cool air.

yes its quite cooling in evening. the noon heat is way too much - i wish we had cameron/genting highland's cool weather, tropical area isnt the best place to build an outdoor theme park

i must say, the models and rides are quite impressive - not as spectacular as USS, but pretty close. i hope they will add more facilities - there is much more land to expand compared to USS, that's for sure. Cant wait for the water theme park (more for kids?) and lego hotel!

Hi Guanyi. Welcome to this thread.

Could you kindly elaborate more on how this 13 sessions of the theraphy was done?

Thanks in advance foe the info.

HI CathyImg,

The theraphy involves the Chiropractor adjusting your neck & backbone based on the problem identified on the posture x-ray image. It may sound scary but you can hardly feel any pain during the adjustment. You will also be asked to perform daily exercises routine using a excercise ball. The purpose of these exercises is to initiate a self healing process in your body, so as to achieve a desirable curvature in your neck & backbone that will help eliminating the painor stiffness. it is not quick fix. It is more likely to be a on going process. The good thing is there is no medication involved.

I am over 50 and I work on the computer a lot. I was very shock to see how my neck bones were messed up. My chiropractor told me that my problem started back 20 yrs ago. He suggested a 36 theraphy session, at least 2 seesions a week, to correct my problem. The theraphy takes about 10 minutes. I will go through the exercise routine, which takes about 20 minutes, at least once a day. I started feeling better after the 4th theraphy.

My daughter had problem on backache. I took her to see the chiropractor as well and her problem went away after the 5th session. She is continuing the theraphy to correct some backbone alighnment issue. The total cost for 36 sessions is about S$2600 per person. Following is the link to the chiropractor that I am seeing. He is located in CBD. A little inconvenience. There are quite a few chiropractors in Singapore. You may want to ask around.

Recently shared with a bro here that the apples in Malaysia are pretty nice, he is from Sarawak but thought i was pulling his leg.
Seem there were more apples than most of us thought possible here.

Apple farming

Apple farming has been developed in Ba'Kelalan since 1990 and the town is now the first in Malaysia to grow the fruit successfully on a commercial scale.
It was in 1975 when the first apple cuttings were brought from the highlands of East Java by a local boy, Andrew Balang Paran, but early planting faced problems and it was not until 1988 that the turning point was brought about, when help from two apple growers from Batu Malang in Indonesia brought the 300 dying apple trees back to health using pruning, fertilisers and chemicals. During the next two years 1000 more apple trees were grown, and in 1991 the first harvest was produced after an artificial "wintering" process in December 1990, when the leaves of the trees were removed.[9]

Now seven varieties of apple are grown, of which the first three have produced fruit:
•the 'Ba Kelalan Apple' or Manalagi, a Washington hybrid first produced in Indonesia, light green but turning yellow when ripe
•Rome Beauty, crunchy, sweet, sour tasting apple normally used for cooking
•Tropical Beauty, a brilliant red oval apple, sweet but not as crunchy as Rome Beauty
•Lady Williams
•Epal Anna
•Kwanglin
•Jonathan

The 3ha orchard now has two thousand apple trees, and is run by 75-year old former pastor Tagal Paran, the elder brother of Andrew Balang Paran who brought the first cuttings to the village, and his 50-year old son Mutang Tagal. The trees bear fruit twice a year, normally in the middle and the end of the year.[10] Following the initial success, they plan to plant 4000 apple trees.[3] Most of the apples are transported to Lawas using the logging trail; some are sent to Kota Kinabalu in Sabah.

The first Apple Fiesta in Malaysia was held in Ba'Kelalan from 29 to 31 Mar 2007,[9] and it has become an annual event and tourist attraction, based around the Apple Lodge in Buduk Nur. The third ran from May 10–13, 2009 and was entitled "Ba'Kelalan: The Heart of Borneo Escapade 2009". The event is run by Borneo Jungle Safari (BJS) Sdn Bhd with support from Tourism Malaysia, Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), MASwings and Sarawak Tourism Action Council (STAC).[7

Has anyone posted this good news? Nusajaya's property rental demand will be very promising in the next few years.

Strong interest prompts IIB to launch EduPark.

EduCity 1, which covers 123.42ha, will have eight reputable international universities.
EduCity 2(EduPark) has an area spanning between 161.87ha and 202.34ha, much bigger than EduCity 1.

http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2012/9/21/business/12052631&sec=business

JOHOR BARU: Interest in Iskandar Malaysia’s EduCity @Nusajaya near here remains strong and has prompted Iskandar Investment Bhd (IIB) to embark on a second similar project.

IIB president and chief executive officer Datuk Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim said the second project would be known as EduPark@Nusajaya.

He said the company was in the midst of completing the planning development of EduPark and its blue print would be unveiled towards the end of the year.

“We want to position EduCity and EduPark as the leading knowledge hub in the region,’’ Syed Mohamed said in a press conference on Wednesday.

Syed Mohamed with Chew at the signing ceremony for the setting up of Raffles American School in Iskandar Malaysia.
He said this at the signing of a sale and purchase agreement between Education@Iskandar Sdn Bhd (EISB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of IIB and Raffles Education Corp for the sale of 18.47ha land for RM56mil.

Signing on behalf of IIB were Syed Mohamed and chief operating officer Khairil Anwar Ahmad while Raffles Education was represented by executive director Stephen Chong and Raffles American School (RAS) director Doris Chew.

The land will be used to house Malaysia’s first state-of-the art RAS, which will focus on providing a world-class education facility in partnership with International School Services.

It offers an American curriculum leading to the Advanced Placement Programme for students to matriculate in colleges and universities in the United States and other English speaking universities around the world.

Work on the RAS will start in November and targeted for phase one completion for kindergarten through Grade 12, including full boarding capacity in 2014-2015.

The campus will boast 300,000 sq ft of built-up area complete with sports, recreational and boarding facilities to cater for a capacity of 2,000 students.

“The concept of EduPark will be different from EduCity as the former will see the partnership between industries and educational institutions to produce all rounders,’’ said Syed Mohamed.

EduCity, which covers 123.42ha, will have eight universities with one specialised faculty each while EduPark has an area spanning between 161.87ha and 202.34ha.

He said IIB was confident that EduPark would be as successful as the company had received many queries from interested parties to set their operations at the yet-to-be-launched project.

Similarly, he said the company would not be rushing to accept offers made by two universities in Beijing which are planning to set up their branch campuses in Iskandar Malaysia.

“We are very selective as we only want to offer the best in class faculties from reputable universities in the world,’’ said Syed Mohamed.

Thanks for sharing. Its really an eye opener. I have increased my workout to 5 times per week to see if it helps. If it fails then I will have to consider this as an alternative.

That's what I heard as well. Trader's Hotel at Puteri Harbour will be opened during the same period too.

More good stuff, meanwhile i got a friend asking about Iskandar today, he asked me how long does it take for him to go if he takes a plane there and ask me which part of KL it is in. <Running out of blood to cough>

30 days almost up, so we tried to do the u-turn at 2nd link MY customs instead of going back to Sgp.

There are signs in blue background and white letters that direct you to u-turn back to Malaysia.

We followed and it did not lead to the customs booth, the U-turn is around the RELA office. We have to park the car near RELA office, and walk to the nearest customs officer booth to get our passports stamped / scanned. No trouble at all during the off peak hour.

But I wonder if I can u-turn further ahead, so that I can drive to the customs officer booth, as if drving in from Singapore? :*:

agree. cameron highland perhaps. .genting is getting more polluted nowadays with so much development.

Would be nice if one retire in cameron highland in a small, cozy cottage with a small farm growing the local maize and strawberries. Sip hot Lipton tea(self grown and plucked) in early morning overlooking the plantation. Beauty of lifeeeee
