Anybody knows why they need to include this online thingy? We have to do it right? Otherwise cannot drive in come Oct 1?

I called up LTA to seek their advice why vehicle registration card is required by the Malaysia side. Someone will call me back.

Suggest more people to call LTA to express our concern why so much info is collected without Singapore gov cooperation.

Goodness Gracious!

All these extra work, costs, things to consider... and its charged PER ENTRY??!!!, no exemptions for public holidays, weekends, nothing... WOW!
Forget about JB, it's a lost cause!

I hope LTA looks into this and announce an appropriate counter response asap!!!

How come I am having validation error? I am a loyal fan of this VEP Rm20 per entry and wants to be the first to register and pay but it just suxks

Yes! I hope S$35 VEP For foreign cars into Singapore become S$50 per entry and it must be 7 days a week, 24 hours. Just stop at the checkpoints to observe the number of Malaysia cars entering Singapore at 5pm Monday to Friday. Are you sure they are coming here to spend money or to make use of our booming economy and ailing ringgit at the expense of expensive Singapore car owners?

No need to increase further but cut out all those free exemptions... just make it simple and direct, like Malaysia... charge VEP SGD35 per ENTRY!!!

See who makes more noises...

Password must have small & large cap, number and a sign like dollar or ampersand..

Quite ridiculous. I wonder whether the Singapore govt will have any concerns about Singapore registered cars having to divulge so much information.
And that includes govt registered vehicles.
Not just privately owned cars.
What's the rationale?

Which website should i go to register my vehicle for VEP.

Is this the one :

I tried to register but the Password part keep telling me there is an error with my password. KNS. ...

LTA called me with the advice that they would not comment if the Malaysia side has requested for too much information. It is up to the car owner to decide if we are willing to reveal. If we are not comfortable, LTA advised us to take public transport. LTA also advised us to bring along a copy of car registration to prove car ownership as the Malaysia police try to enforce the collection of fine. In other words, I interpreted that if there has been a change of owner and fine was due to previous owner, you can probably deny the fine.

I have the same old problem despite using the password generator

At VEP web site, enter email and click "Forgot Password". They'll auto send the VEP Account Recovery email to you.
Then, login with the given password and you'll be prompted to change a new password.
Using the password generator, create a new password, this time adjusting the length longer, to say, 20.
See if this works.
You may need to do trial and error.

try this super pw: M@lpaso8 ( you can reset the pw later on)
or Congog&9
(Password must be at least 8 characters in length and contains
combination of lower case, upper case, numeric and special
characters.)
Then remember to enter the "CAPTICA" correctly.

See my thread #730 for more details: http://sammyboy.com/showthread.php?119632-All-about-cars-in-Malaysia&p=2262804#post2262804

1. Collection of the VEP tag will be announced later, after 1 Mar 2016. You need to pay RM10 when collecting. They will place the VEP tag on your windscreen such that the VEP tag can be read by the scanners, much like our ERP equipment. Hence, you need to present your vehicle as well.
2. Collection of the VEP tag can be done at either CIQ complexes, as stated in their web site.

Hope this helps.
