You can go to the mpjb bldg next to sultanah Aminah hospital along the seaside. It's on the ground floor. Ask the police at the door to get the right queue number.

If you are using Maybank's online banking, they cater for electronic bill payment to MPJB. I believe other banks' online system may allow you to do that too.

today it was my first time washing car at tun aminah as i wanted to visit the pasar malam ..... when i drove to e car wash , e lady told me price increased so i said ok , she told me rm13 for normal wash . then after i sat down to wait , she told me normal shampoo ran out , must use gd shampoo which cost rm18. wth , no choice , jus let them wash.... end up never able to wash away some stains at all... pls avoid the car wash just opp 777 food center. btw , e pasar malam nearby are huge with a few streets vendors selling things but parking n roads conditions was chaos, i dun think i will visit again ..

Do try Legend Car Wash situated right after the Shell Station (upon exiting CIQ). Good service and a comfortable room to relax while you see the job being done.

Just got my car cleaned, waxed, polished and the interiors vacuumed and leather cleaned for RM 200. 1 free service after 4 or 5 rounds, through loyalty card.

Yesterday, tried to go back to singapore at 9pm+ from 2nd link but made a detour back to Malaysia due to heavy traffic. Jam started from toll station at Malaysia end.

Thanks for this link! Last December, I was in that jam that started from the Petronas petrol kiosk, and it took me about 2.5 hours to reach Tuas.

Took me around 1 hour to clear both customs at causeway yesterday night. Not too bad at all.........haha. 7pm to 8pm is the best time to clear the causeway for everyone's information.

Hi. Does anyone here knows of any reputable insurance companies? I'm thinking of buying fire insurance for my property. Thank you!

This is a great link, thanks for sharing. Have been caught out in long jams on 2nd Link as it shows clear on the SG side but the MY side was heavily backed up. This will help a lot!

Thank you to Shctaw and Tibetos for your response. I am surprised that it only took between 2-4months for state consent for both of you. Not too bad! I thought it will be long drawn battle.....

Cheers

It should not stretch beyond 4 months normally. A good lawyer should get it done within 2 months if everything is in order.

Been away for a while and then after that went to KL with a good bro to scout out KL, etc.
Has been a lot of trips recently.

Upon my return, found a car driven by a lady who had knocked down a small tree literally in the Gateway. How she did it and within such a short distance is beyond me but her vehicle must have a souped up engine or the driver must be trying to do an F1.

It's funny though, the other day someone was ordering McDonalds and her brand new MPV was in the process of mounting a curb and damaging her side skirting, I pressed my horn and gestured to the ground and curb but got a finger from her. After the helpful staff pointed out to her, she reversed without knocking and almost slammed into me. I had to reverse quickly but luckily in the end everyone and their respective cars were ok.

While on the way to KL, a lot of interesting things happened and really respect the local drivers here as they gave way for folks on the right lane of the highway and most of the time without any prompting from other drivers. Would have made any driving instructor in SG proud. Made 3 trips to KL, Selangor over a space of 1 month to look at projects and basically to replicate what we did when we first came to Iskandar.

Stayed at hotels in Mid Valley mall area, 1 Utama as well as the Giza place, lots of nice areas like Bangsar, Mont Kiara that a good bro showed us and we went to other developments including Kajang, Cheras. Seems most of IJM projects in the area there are mostly leasehold. Brought my family there as well and the Mid Valley mall is large especially if you take into account the Gardens as well. Bangsar was really vibrant at night.

On my 3rd trip, only my wife came and we went straight to Genting from HH to the summit in about 4 hours including breaks. Traffic was really light and no serious jams.

So we took it fast and then took it real slow I guess when we got there. Really foggy and no rooms available, once we settled down to a nice parking lot overlooking an edge, I proceeded to bring down the seats and made the back rows essentially a double bed and we spent the night there with the windows wound just an inch. Talked and read some books while we were there and it was really cold when it started to rain. Whenever we had to go to the loo, just left the car and went to the hotel nearby and the night passed very nicely though it was too foggy to see the stars.

Next day, went to the casino with my wife and she lost some money while I abstained. Had to pull her away this time and changed roles to be her brakes. Baccarat tables, some blew 20-50k just like that while there were some significant wins as well. Now, while typing this and sitting at the Killiney coffee place at Mydin, I still remember the smile on one particular chaps face as he lost all his big bet. He came in, made one single bet, lost and left. Respect as many probably cannot accept the loss like he did.

On our way down, saw a very interesting bee farm with a very nice lady boss, Annie whose Japanese husband/partner teaches people on insects and how to eventually frame them up. He has a lot of Rhino beetles and breeding them on top of having very interesting bees including Italian ones. Trying out their propolis honey and it was a good wrap up of the Genting trip. Many assumes large vehicles has trouble going up Genting but its actually the going down that one needs to be more careful of, though the frequent lane changing when other cars are going up was a bit dangerous especially when they swerved from lane to lane in the darkness.

The coffee at Killiney is pretty ok as do their free wifi. Their staff are a bit forgetful though and forgot out order for mee rebus as well as beverages.

Oh, Tropicana mall in KL was pretty small but had lots of interesting shops and they had Borders as well as an Otak Otak place which, other then having nice Otak Otak. sold Doraemon chocolates for 2 rm each.

Took my parents to see an elderly relative recently, unknown to our relatives, she never liked us and every time we wanted to visit her, she will say its raining, the dogs are around and sometimes she said to my dad, why do you want to visit me, do you want to borrow money? Really hurt my dad and us as every CNY it was the same.
