made a trip to laguna today.. this is my impression:
security seems to be only one layer. the sales ladies brought me thru the guarded gate then to the show houses. bro doa, yes, saw the unit on sales. i didn't visit that cos there are already show houses that are renovated.
there are 4 types. A/B: 28x90, C/D: 26x80.
it is impressive.. the indoor courtyard and high glass panels (however, not practical for self maintenance.. how to climb so high?).
the 6 bedrooms aren't small, contrary to my earlier impression.

Bro, just to understand your expectation, how many layers did you expect? Were you expecting minimum 3 layers like those condo? And since u have been to HH, how many layers does HH have?
- pertaining to the cleaning, I don't see it as a major problem to deter my decision. The show house has been there for many years, and they have not cleaned the high parts of the glass panel at all. Do u find it filthy/dirty to an unaccepted level? To me, it's not the cleanest, but it looks clean enough without very close examination. I reckon can do a spring cleaning once every five years and maybe can get external cleaner services. Shouldn't cost much. For the lower panels, just normal routine cleaning will do
- yes all the rooms are considerably spacious for sure
quite a ulu place. the surrounding felt somewhat cramped.. not much scenery to see..(maybe the first trip to HH has set the wrong benchmark)
the playground (nothing impressive though) is outside the fence (i think bro wuqi mentioned in one of the earlier threads), and i saw quite a number of orang asli kids cycling outside.

bro, IMHO, no one taman can fight with HH (apologize in advance to bros and sis here, not trying to undermine your respective taman). Since u have set HH as a benchmark, I think u will keep finding lots of things that u can pick on from other tamans. Again, set the expectation right first else, whichever Taman u go, u will continue to discount them and eventually goes back to HH. Everyone feels the x factor of Hh for sure but u have rightly pointed out the biggest obstacle - price! :( I would also like to have a share in there too, but not going to swallow more than I could .... Credits to u to have personally checked it out and make comparisons. All part of studies and u should only buy the one that u feel right
To add on, what u don't get outside your house is compensated by the space u get within. Of course I also hope that they spruce up the landscaping, but more landscaping = more cost. For the price now, I find it reasonable and the cost is spent for the space within, and on a Psf basis, it is defintitely cheaper than a lot of tamans for now.
one thing.. not sure if bro doa encountered this... there was some burnt rubbish/wood smell in the air.. it is the orang asli's doing?
- nope, never noticed. Maybe there was some ad-hoc burning outside. DanGa is doing lots of clearing work outside. Lots of trees/green field have been taken down. Maybe the smell arose from that. Not sure.
not available for foreigners now.. next phase should be open around may-july period.
nonetheless, i've put my name/contact to be notified.
personally, i'd prefer much more open space and terrained like the HH (though it is now darned expensive.. any other similar ones??).
when i get to squeeze more free time, i'll visit other tamans like nusa idaman to compare...

yes, nusa idaman has houses within your budget. But I think someone reported in here that all houses above 500k from phase 7 and 8 have been snapped. Not heard of any upcoming launch yet, but they do have some few last phases in the pipeline
and yes.. went thru 2nd link. it was a breeze. reached customs within like 15-20 minutes both ways.
on my way back, left at 5.45pm.. reached sg around 6.10pm.
then kenna huge traffic jam on AYE, then thought PIE is better, and it was a mistake.. also jammed.
finally reached home nearly 8.30pm.. man... my whole body ache.. :*:
congestion in sg is getting really bad...
