The prosecution witness seems to be flip floppping and this brings her integrity into question. If prosecution has nothing but her evidence then there is a good chance for acquittal. Although he is a low life, her credibility is in question while the other evidence are circumstantial are are reliant on her credibility as a witness. Defence can easily attack her.

I put $10 on acquittal but this may change as case continues.

Acquittal or otherwise depends not so much on the merit of the arguments in court but on whether the judge thinks NBG is really corrupt to start off with. As every point can be subjectively judged, the judge will have the right to show an example of NBG if he thinks he is guilty as charged. In a 50:50 situation, he is a goner.

The time also seems to be about right to show an example of someone because the situation is getting a bit out of hand for sex for sales transactions, not necessarily that it is conclusive in this case. Decision could be delayed, though, until the other case is also heard and if he is lucky he could be one of the two acquitted because his all for love seems to have some supporting evidence. All he needs is the judge's belief in that. The other guy would not be so lucky if they need to show at least one example.
