Not surprised to see this when both sides are using the same military hardware. In the absence of any visible markings, it is near impossible to tell friend from foe.

Weapons are dead objects. Human lives are more precious. Whatever the outcome, 10 years down the road you will see a new America president shaking hands with new Russia president. The lost of Ukrainian lives doesn't matter in world politics. Surrender is the best option to cut further loss and save more lives.
