So the PAP Chairman has gone onto TV and made comments to the effect that it would be disastrous for the WP to form the Government because 'Ministers would resign, run away and go missing', obviously trying to use the YSL incident to discredit WP further.

I thought Desmond Choo said that he wants to run as an independent without the help of PAP bigwigs?

Why is his party Chairman intervening and campaigning on his behalf, especially using such baseless and manipulative rhetoric (that is, unfortunately, completely typical of the PAP)?

Low Thia Khiang and Sylvia Lim have not said anything in response.. but I would imagine that Pritam Singh would have alot to say when WP conducts its first rally. Pritam pulled no punches in all his rally speeches last year.

PAP IS IN A DIASTER becos of Khaw...he is a useless guy who ask SINGAPOREANS TO SEND OUR PARENTS TO JB TO DIE if we cannot afford medical costs here!!!

ccb khaw, i see u, i will spit at your feet!

Khaw is correct. Yaw disapeared, no sound no picture and WP is clueless and bopian.

Did Desmond Choo ran away from Hougang like YSL?

You mean LTK and Sylvia won't be campaigning for Png? What talking lu?

Pritam still hasn't said anything about his plagiarism yet.
I can imagine he will pull no punches in keeping quiet about his plagiarism during rally.

Frankly , I would prefer those who do not agree with the party line simply leave. Better that than to have useless fellows hanging around and trying to "change the party from within". How brave ...

Singapore is already in disaster mode under PAP for many years. Look around you...

High cost of livings
SMRT breakdown almost everyday
Low wage workers grossly underpaid
Productivity is non-existence
Foreign workers move around like ants.

So Khaw Boon Wan, which is more more disastrous? Yaw screwing a gal or PAP screwing the people? Take your pick.:oIo:

pap has screwed singaporeans for years.....

Irrelevant, Mr KBW. Even if PEH won 100% of the votes in this BE, WP will still not form the government.

The PAP has had its fair share of growing up pains, so he shldnt be jeering at others. When he was still swimming in his Papa's balls, his Party had so many fall-outs. The biggest one was infighting between LKY and Ong Eng Guan. Then in 1963, the party split in two and Barisan sosialis was born. Was the PAP CEC in control then? The BS took away 35 branch secs at the grassroots from the PAP and they were left high and dry on tenterhooks. They could have been finished then, kaput! That's why the PAP was so desperate to go into merger with Malaysia so that the Tengku would kill off his rivals for him. So I'll tell Khaw - know yr history, know yourself. People in glasshouses better not throw stones, lest big boulders will descend on them.

Khaw should address the issue of his $8 heart bypass. Come clean and explain how in the world he could have gotten a complex operation for $8.

Now that he is in charge of HDB, he should concentrate on launching $8 HDB flats.

He is simply KHAW peh KHAW bu. I would have asked him to shut his mother khaw fuck at his rally. Besides, this KHAW is supposed to resign long ago for screwing up Singapore hospital beds and have someone family Hota-ed by calling in policemen to drag the patient away while the family is still hopeful. This mother fucking Khaw CB should just shut up during this BE.

He won't shut up. He is PAP chairman, so he is in charge of the campaign. Looks like Desmond has to go back to him for approval on most matters (so much for being INDEPENDENT).

Khaw and Heng Swee Keat were there during Nomination Day. It's obvious who is in charge. It's not Desmond.

Phey Yew Kok, Teh Chiang Wan, Wee Toon Wee and of course not forgetting the uncle of Desmond Choo, Mr Choo Wee Kiang .. no wonder PAP is a disaster, for once Khaw talk some sense!

And on the dick in wrong hole front, Jek Yuen Thong, Lee Chiaw Meng, Current Law Minister, et. al.

The current law minister is a disgrace and an embarrassment, far worse than Yaw Shin Leong.

It is time that the Opposition get united again instead of fighting and back stabbing one another.

In the past one year, much have changed in the spirit and thinking in the core opposition parties. The GE2011 results gave everybody hope that finally something concrete could come out of it. Gone were the days when standing for election was just to deny the ruling party a walkover.

With newfound confidence, the political parties are beginning to take their mission with greater seriousness. At the same time, it is clear that the PAP has the intention to maintain 100% control and will not share it with any other party, not even the WP, what with all the dirty tricks they are now pulling out of their bag. The direction is now set and is very clear.

The WP needs to review its core strategy. Today the opposition parties act independently, half the time trying to guess what the other parties are up to. The Opposition needs leadership, not a leader that every party has to listen to but leadership that can show the way and help to manage relationship with one another. And this has to be on a Party to Party basis for it to work. WP fits this role, if not for anything, for the success that they have achieved in the political system.

The Opposition must support one another for greater success to be achieved.

It would be even better if all the Opposition parties were to merge, just like what happened in Malaysia. PAS, DAP and PKR joined together to form a coalition despite their ideological differences.

But in Singapore, everyone wants to be an Indian Chief. Even within WP, there are people like Eric Tan, Sajeev, and now Dr Poh Lee Guan who are disgruntled because they are not given power.

The only hope for opposition unity in Singapore is for an extremely strong figure to take charge, and his authority must be beyond doubt. The opposition parties unite behind Anwar not because they like him, but because they know that as an ex-DPM he is simply the best man to lead them. No one can compare. This person must be several levels higher than Low TK. Someone like George Yeo would fit the bill, but he would never do it.

Clap clap but somehow, WP has poured cold water on you... WP will be contesting in Tampines, its Chairman Sylvia Lim said. Is that helping NSP to grow? I seriously doubt so.

Talk is cheap, action speaks louder.

Well, make no apologies about that, really. This is after all, partisan politics in play. WP do not need to apologize to NSP for doing that, neither should NSP apologize if it so decide to contest in Aljunied GRC.

Goh Meng Seng
