kaya

I agree......

Its not that difficult to make your own homemade kaya too espcially if you are giving it away to people......always damm troublesome to make and have to finish it up quickly as it turns bad within a few days....add gula melaka or palm sugar helps with the sweetening but reduces the blood glucose impact....ok for diabetics if u use sparingly....

At least u are not getting the preservative filled shit from the pap crony capitalists........

Another poor and useless one. I don't want to try your shit too, no thanks. Diabetics together with you should just eat bland and normal, salty, bitter stuff.

You can keep your preservatives shit as those chink junks make better.

Any good kaya recipe?

i like my kaya green, so i don't use gulam melaka or gulam java. it's very easy. just remember 1,1,1,3,3.

1 cup coconut milk
1 cup coarse or rock brown sugar
1 bushel of pandan leaves
3 eggs
3 yolks

heat coconut milk in sauce pan. add 1/2 cup sugar or less depending on your sugar intake needs. add pandan leaves. bring to boil and then simmer until coconut milk is infused with pandan. set aside. remove pandan leaves.

beat up eggs, yolks, and remaining sugar in a round glass bowl. add pandan-coconut milk to egg mixture and stir until you get sticky custard. bowl water in a pot, turn it down to simmer, and stir the egg and coconut milk mixture in the bowl in the simmering water (to cook the eggs and yolks). when you reach a thick consistency, you're done.

Apologies, kaya is being sold at $3 a tub.
But it is not self made but being delivered.
