Causeway has military advantage. Very difficult to destroy. No way will PAP want that replaced. And they made huge protest when dr m wanted their portion to be replaced by a bridge. Saying the water pipeline remains and will not be altered. It was dr m who agreed to widen the causeway in the 1980's instead of replacing two lane causeway with a bridge.

Yes. There us a huge pleasure craft and sports activities vurtailed due yo causeway. I have always supported removal andvreplaced by a bridge. Just a simple one like the london bridge, or those over danube. Just High enough to allow local tugs, barges and pleasure cruises to sail underneath.
