We are just a week from Singapore's 59th birthday!

As a tribute to the nation, we have curated a brand-new Light and Music Showcase featuring one of the most well-loved National Day song - Home (1998) performed by the inimitable @陳潔儀 Kit Chan.
Working closely with water feature experts, WET, this special show introduces a brand-new method of animation that features traditional hand-drawn illustrations that are similar to water colour effects. This new style also helps to bring to life, the many recognisable icons introduced in the show that together, make up the many facets of what we all love about Singapore

We warmly welcome everyone to Jewel in the month of August to catch this awe-inspiring Light & Music showcase. The tribute to the nation will be played every night at 8pm, with an additional show at 10pm on Fri-Sun.

Orchid hybridisation has a long history in Singapore, stretching back to more than 80 years ago with the launch of the orchid hybridisation programme at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Our national flower, Papilionanthe Miss Joaquim (previously known as Vanda Miss Joaquim) is a famous example of a hybridised orchid!
To celebrate Jewel’s 5th Anniversary, we are marking this special occasion by naming an orchid after Jewel Changi Airport: Dendrobium Jewel Changi Airport. This flower was hybridised in Singapore and it was chosen for its vibrant colour, hardiness and floriferous qualities. The Dendrobium Jewel Changi Airport is a cross between Dendrobium JCAT and Dendrobium Shavin White.
With this new orchid, we have now added one more beautiful orchid species to Singapore's wide plethora of orchids. The Dendrobium Jewel Changi Airport is now on display at the South Lookout (near Adidas, level 2). Come on down and check it out!

Just for one day on 11 August, floral artist Megumi Shinozaki will return to Jewel and repackage the flowers from the Super Blooms display at Petal Garden for our Canopy Park guests. What a great way to extend the lifespan of these beautiful flowers!

Pro Tip: any guest who had visited Canopy Park from 24 May to 11 Aug can also bring home a piece of the exhibit by simply showing your used ticket stub at Cloud9 Piazza, level 5 (near KANTIN) to bring home a pack of the lovely blooms soon!
