No guns but we used to hide 10-20 parangs all over our houses from car pouch to all the rooms and furnitures around the house.
I know of a non-Malay/Muslim from Kulai who moved his business to Kelantan and has never looked back. Life is good, the people gracious, warm and unpretentious. I won't be surprised if crime is lower.
Kelantan is under PAS. Strict law tere. Would be robbers would tink twice being gung ho here...
Contrary to what many people think, the criminal laws in Kelantan are no different from any other state in M'sia.
Yes, although the PAS government has been talking about introducing hudud laws for the longest time, it remains as just empty talk simply because there are legal obstacles to this, and that is, the federal Constitution. And PAS is unlikely to ever be able to amend the Constitution for hudud purposes as their PR partners will never allow it, and there is no way in hell they can take Putrajaya on their own steam.
ITs impossible to find anyone living and growing up in JB who is not a victim of crime. The question to ask is:" How many times?"
Not true. My father-in-law is over 60 n he has not been robbed once. I have many Malaysian Chinese male and female friends who have not been robbed before too. That said, JB crime rates certainly have plenty of improvement, no doubt abt that.
Recently in Spore, an elderly man was charged for hurting a hooligan who hurt his son-in-law and also attacked his other family members........
Recently there has been a spate of fatal accidents in spore......Spore divers are probably a bunch of reckless individuals................................
Recently signs has been put up in Sunset landed residential area to warn and to ask for information on a spate of burglary in the area.....similarly I have seen such signs elsewhere in Spore also....
Recently there has been reports of molests on Public transport.....
Yes....Singapore is very safe one.....yes we would like to think so.....but........is not as squeaky clean....and safe.....
My point is not that Spore is a crime ridden country....my point is crime is everywhere......and how we perceive them.....we hear some people shout loud loud that JB is a crime city....and some who have not even gone over to JB also start to rant about crime in JB without know or seeing the true picture....
My father in law was robbed and slashed by 4 malay guys many years back in Tun aminah while riding a scooter to work. I seriously have no idea why he was a target as he looked poor and the scooter is not even S plated.
How many years is many, has he been slashed b4 that and after that? Have you been robbed? has any one else in your family been robbed?.....so what are you doing on the property forum for Msia? To help educate others not to buy Msia property? Do you own any property in Msia?....with your nick, I supposed you are an investor?....I think you don't make sense to me.....without concrete statistic and based on hearsay?...
A season player will not avoid Malaysia property just because of crime.
As long as there are money to make; there will be someone to take advantage of it.
Buying a property in Malaysia does not mean living in Malaysia. It is totally different.
Hi may I know who is the one who is "spreading rumours or exaggerations" about crimes in Malaysia, esp in JB. Are you referring to Sin Chew Daily and Wanbao or New Straits Times where the rampant crimes are being reported on a daily basis?
Someone is right. A seasoned investor will not siam good investment and just because a place is infested with crimes does not literally mean the value will not go up.
Many young Malaysians I spoke to these days are sensitive to people saying Malaysia is a criminal infested place. Dangerous or not, they know best. During my first 10-15 years stay in Malaysia when I was a young kid, Malaysia is indeed safe. Seldom heard of "snatch theft" resulting in death during that time.
