This proves that meritocracy is alive and well in Singapore thanks to the PAP.

I was from a medical battalion. Our armskote man was a medical school associate professor, LCP or CPL. hahaha, he didn't get a place in NUS Medicine and self-funded to go overseas to study medicine and became a respectable figure in our hospitals. When the MOs drew arms from the CPL/LCP armskote professors, all damn polite hahaha

actually I don't think that's true. In Canada, it's very elitist to be a doctor... more so than Singapore.

Canada has robust tax system. High income earners pay a lot more tax. So the income disparity is not so big.

In Canada people respect each other regardless what they work as (as long as legal).

We know we need plumbers and electricians and trades people as much as office workers and lawyers and doctors.

So there is way less elitism. Trades people earn very good money. You need to go to school and train for several years as journeyman to become a certified trades person.

Expensive to call plumber to fix leaking faucets. That's why the hardware stores are huge. I fix my leaky faucets myself. Buy the parts.

Med school is long. Not everyone has the patience to do it. But it is very competitive.

I would say lawyers the most arrogant from the patients I have dealt with.

Good story ...it is okay to spurn the high pressure education system and enjoy life ...just buck up later in life and make it.

Life is good under the PAP!

Oh look, more good news and 'feel good' news by our pressitutes.

It's a fairly predictable cycle, like when it's the low tide and when a woman is having her period.

You know what that means.
U r right always showcasing incomplete stories...never address why there are so little local drs...
