Pregnant woman in S'pore tests positive for Zika

SINGAPORE — A pregnant woman living in the Aljunied Crescent/Sims Drive area has tested positive for Zika virus infection, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Wednesday (Aug 31) night. This is the first such case in Singapore.
“Her doctor is following up close with her to monitor her health and the development of her baby,” said the MOH. The woman, who tested positive on Wednesday, will be referred to a maternal-foetal medicine specialist for counselling and advice, said the ministry.
The news comes a day after the MOH announced free testing at public healthcare institutions for pregnant women with Zika symptoms or who have partners with the virus, as well as those recommended by their doctors.
The MOH had also issued an advisory on pregnancy and Zika on Tuesday. Noting that Zika could have more serious consequences for pregnant women — their children could be born with microcephaly — the MOH said that pregnant women diagnosed with Zika would be referred to a maternal-foetal medicine specialist for counselling and advice.

More like Zika Mosquitoes already there, just that the people DKDC.
Malaysia may not have money, but sure it has lots and lots of mosquitos. People getting dengue is a daily affair here.

I wonder if this bus stop outside of Afiniti condo in Medini will be part of the BTS (bus system) in future.
This glam stainless steel bus stop was build by the developer as part of the total development but whether any bus will stop by here is totally another story................but wait patiently, hopefully some buses might come by one fine day.

Well... Maybe Malaysians wont' take the bus. But maybe also when more foreigners stay there, they will take bus?
Then again, cars are cheap in Johor. Not sure if it makes sense to take bus.

So, the seat is now under the shadow so that the stainless steel seat will not be hot under the sun which may cause serious damage to some unsuspecting commuter's backside.

Foreigners who can afford condos don't take bus they figured and the transportation authorities has no responsibility towards the welfare of foreigners, public buses are meant for the general lower income public.

As I've said it is just part of the development, so don't think to much into it and those BRT or BTS is just all hot air for the time being.
And look around the whole neighbourhood and nearby, can you see the next bus stop somewhere?
It is a bus stop, a taxi stand, a rain shelter or a resting place for tired legs. Definitely not a BRT on the road side. BRT do not use bus stops. It has its own stations with ticket counters and built to specs required of the system.
Anyone knows if iMedini Walk by Tang Group (Singapore company!) has started construction? It's supposed to be quite close to Legoland but I don't remember seeing its construction.
From the Medini plan that I see, there are also supposed to be IOI Medini, Prive Medini, Park Residences, Volt Corporation, Medini Square, Opus Medini, One World Medini. So many! Dizzy liao....
All of them are mainly mixed use with residential condos, offices and/or hotel. But seems like they are at a standstill and not built yet?

Just asking nia... I did ask about Volt Corporation many months back. Was told no plans to release yet. Wahh... it's been almost 3 years liao. The developer WCT is still trying to sell their empty office lots at 1 Medini.
