Is this why we are failing?

Is that how they get the colour on their uniform? How do someone with no war experience get so many colour?

War exercises considered as war? :p

If so, our generals conducted the most war exercises on table :o

Maybe in the past history. managing a country is different now. Just think of any country that has military men as leader of the country, it is probably a poorly performing one.

You must have forgotten about Gen Park Chung-hee or are you too young to have heard about him? He laid the foundation and made South Korea what it is today as an industrial and economic power.

Visit also can get colour? CB, can get 5 easily in a year... no need to sweat somemore, just see can already.

And also by visiting other countries, showing face at combined exercises.

Nothing wrong with military men leading a country. They are capable of doing a great job.

Here is a complete list.

Agree. Nothing wrong with military men switching over and becoming good politicians, leaders.

The problem is, ours suck big time both in the army and in politics

Military men make wonderful yes-men.

As I have said before, the recipients of the SAF scholarship are eventually used to maintain the status quo of the PAP regime. Some get into the PAP and become ministers. Others get parachuted into stat boards and GLCs (SMRT, SIA, NOL, STB).

Restrict the scholarship, stop the 'revolving door' system of SAF's top brass, and the PAP regime will collapse overnight.

Years ago when I was assigned to sort out incoming resumes for salespeople in my company, anyone who said he was an officer in his NS days gets his resume tossed into the bin - my version of nipping it at the bud.

Cheers!

Long service awards.......good conduct.......commendation.......efficiency.........peace time can garner alot liao

The problem is not with our generals.......to govern well........we need to impose martial law.

Ah fish! Napoleon was a Coporal also :o

paiseh lor, little corporal was only a nickname for napoleon by his arty troops. he graduted from a military acadamy in Paris in 1785 before attending arty school. By the french revolution, he at least a battery commander so no way napoleon was only a corporal. btw, he not a shorty, his height ard 170cm which is consider average french height at the 18 century.

on the other hand, Hitler served in the 16th Bavarian Infantry Regiment as a dispatch runner in WW1. he received Iron Cross (first class) for bravery. His senior general staff called him the Bavarian Corporal behind his back. despite that, Hitler was only a Gefreiter (lance-corporal) when ww1 ended.

i really hope you are joking or being sarcastic. the last thing we need is another iron fisted dictator for the next 20 years.

On the contrary that is exactly what the country needs. The peasants are becoming emboldened because of weak leadership and this needs to be dealt with swiftly and decisively.

Shit, for once in a long time, I actually agree with you.....
