is there a way to block private/unknown phone ?

I had this problem recently. keep getting calls from licensed/unlicensed money lender. and they are all from block/private numbers.

just want to know, is there any way I can block all this numbers ? or divert them again ?

is strange, they already know my name when they call in. when I said "wrong number", they said they know who am I and where I stay.... damn fuck......

I never borrow from any ah long or licensed money lender before. how they get my number ?

I don't wish to change my phone number. is there any way ? please advise.

If you own a smartphone like android they already have call blocking in the features. Calls with no numbers are easy to block cos it's just one option. If they call you from various numbers you just add them into the black list.

You need to jail break the iphone to get those features. I am sure phones from other brands have those features in them. Nothing difficult.

you need to jail break the phone no choice. Go to cydia and add in kuai dial. There are other blocking apps out there too but i find kuai dial the best.

I advise you to use whitelist which means only numbers that are known to you can get through all other numbers are instantly blocked i think that's the best option for ppl in your predicament.

for Iphone download iblacklist from applestore. Despite the name it is also has whitelist or positive file. You can filter in any way you wish. No need to jailbreak.

but how does it work if I just want to block calls that has no numbers ? I mean just want to block unknown / private numbers.

I want to allow normal local or oversea calls, which may not be in my contact list.

for unknown, no-caller id, restricted and blocked numbers that you wish to block or ignore, you need to contact your service provider, and they may charge you for the additional service. otherwise there are work arounds on the iphone but they don't deal elegantly with unknown numbers.

Changing your phone number might be your last resort if other options don't help. There is no reason to keep that number since it is well known among ah loongs, tele marketeers etc. Not unless that phone number let you win very big in lottery..
