I think we should remove orchard road and dig a bigger longkang all the way to Marina Barrage. Instead of trishaw uncles, we replace sampan uncles and call it 'Punting upon Orchard'. On one hand more employment, added another fish farm and self sufficient with water collected. Still can plant some flowering plants along the longkang to attract butterflies.

Good morning, my name is __________. I'm calling from _________. Please note that it is raining heavily at ____________. I'm telling you this so that you and your million dollar ministars have a heads-up and won't get caught off guard again. Thank you.

The following survival kit is required when it rains heavily in SINgapore:

1. Heavy duty bright yellow rain coat ( in case you fall over, they can spot yo)

2. A pair of wellington ( for the flood will be more than 1.5m)

3. A inflatable float ( in case you are stuck at the bus stop & water is rising)

4. A pair of swimming googles ( same as above)

5. A snorkel ( in case you are stuck underground & it flood)

5. A Inflatable boat plus paddle ( in case your car start taking in water & stall)

Don't be taken off-guard, it is raining very heavily now.


As a citizen:

1. please check all storm drain, culvert, sluiceway, botainic garden drain & all drains in Orchrd Rd/ Tanglin/Scotts-Stevens/Paterson Rd/ Orchard Blvd area.

2. Call Yakoob & tell him to wake up & be on standby

Don't be taken off-guard again...

Remember Trees have branches ( that fall off), leaves & roots & foliage have leaves & other debris too.

Traders, must prepare, mops, pails, & water pump, please get one bigger than the SCDF have, ahh sandbags & make sure you build up to the suggested height of 1.5m..

SINGAPORE: The heavy downpour Friday morning is causing chaos on the roads.

MediaCorp received several calls about floods.

Upper Thomson Road near the junction of Sin Ming Road is reported to be flooded.

Another area is Jalan Boon Lay in the direction of Corporation Road.

The downpour accompanied by gusty winds also caused branches to break off trees.

The Meteorological Services Division had issued a heavy rain warning.

I am guessing..."This time we have 5 waves of heavy rain, it is a historical high & we have never anticipated such heavy downpour...We are more prepared, but blah blah blah....etc"

We are now better prepared to deal with this, SCDF have bought bigger water pumps..after our tiny puny ones that we use to pump water out of WENDY'S embarassed us, we werent prepared; we didn't know that flooding in SINgapore can be so deep....:D
