I am also learning every day. Knowledge never end. Will tryto ans u if its within my knowledge. Best u approach the right islamic institution to answer ur questions. Wats stopping u fm asking? No worry..they not going to force u to embrace Islam or blow u up to pieces.

I'm curious because I see many differences between Muslims from different parts of the world, not just Muslims but just about every faith/religion/ideology. maybe I need to ask more learned people. Even christians and buddhists in singapore got so many variations. when I ask them too I get many varied responses..I am also learning every day. Knowledge never end. The real danger is that it all depends on who those questions are directed at.
Different Muslims have very different views on their religion....that is why there is "radicalisation" for this faith.
that's very true, so I actually go around and ask (if I feel it's safe) to see which countries have more radical versions of it. It tells me a lot about their sociopoliticoeconomic conditions and how it drives radicalisation. Funny thing, I once spoke to an Irani about this, and he was telling me to avoid certain cities in Iran!

Because most moslems are actually rooting for ISIS even if they won't join them. The only moslems who are fighting ISIS are the shi'ites, and the sunnis who live under direct control of ISIS and know first hand how much ISIS really suck.
The further away moslems live from ISIS, the more they think ISIS rocks and will usher in paradise. It's the same for moslems for think islamist parties are the best people to run a country.
that's why I said lots of different types. some extreme this way some extreme that way. best to use one's own mind. after all the people I've spoken to, the only conclusion I can draw is that a Muslim's idea of being Muslim is largely local to their local network. Go another town will get a different answer. So that's why I say cannot group all together.
IMO, googling is useless for me, usually get one biased opinion of some loudmouth or another. Best I ask a regular person who lives a regular life. This cut and paste stuff can end up with some crazy shit.
