KNN, this thread make me feel like crying leh...:o So many memories of the 80s being recaptured inside my head looking at the pics...

Chonburifc:After go Sec. 1, became evil. Duran Duran and Depeche Mode

Yes Duran Duran and Depeche Mode... Brtish bands really rulez during the 80s.. Camouflage from Germany was my favourite too.. Till now Depeche Mode songs are stored inside my Hp.. I remembered stealing my late Ah Kong's Consulate ciggarettes back then with my cousins.. KNN, that time still newbie in smoking, so me and my cousins... Then we also foolishly bought a pack of Viriginia Slims ciggarettes.. Taste like hell..

Then I remembered pooling money with my classmates buying a plastic football at a Mamak shop.. We would play during recess time and continue again after school.. Then we upgraded to a normal leather ball.. Remembered goin to this sport shop at Peninsula Shopping centre and we bought a brand new Adidas Tango ball... Used to hang around the old Toa Payoh interchange with my school mates... Ahhh.. Those were the days... I think I goin to cry liao...:o

LOL, Adidas Tang, yeah... i remember that too, got luminous orange colour version, I like!!!, lol

You know why the kids were staring at the marble? Because they have no goondu and no licence. Marble shooting invented licence, COE and ERP before ROV and LTA was invented. By early primaries, we promoted to shooting marbles on coins already. More challenging on skill and strength required but more profitable (if you won).

I remembered saving up my canteen pocket money and buying the Brtish's Shoot football magazines from a Mamak shop near my block every Wednesday.. Think it cost $2 something back then. Quite a big amount during the 80s but I was determined to buy it as there were alot of cool football team posters in the magazine that I pasted on the walls of my rooms..

I pestered my father to buy me this Subbuteo football set.. True enough he bought me a set from a shop at the old Katong Shopping centre.. It was a Christmas present for me.. Used to play with my cousins when they came to my house.. Almost all of my cousins have the set too..

Me and my schoolmates pooled our money to buy this Adidas Tango ball..

Was glued to the TV each time there was a good drama.. During school days, I would watch nearly every episode of Good Morning Sir with my whole family.. Chen Liping was quite slim and attractive back then..

Kopi O was another favourite drama of the 80s.. Good entertainment for the whole family...

Used to play ping pong under the block after school with my classmates.. Back then ping pong tables are every where under HDB blocks.. Now you can hardly find these tables again at HDB estates..

Almost all of us had played in old playgrounds like these back in the 80s.. We are like Commandos jumping from the top and landing ourself on the sand filled playgrounds..:)

Bought many of these pop crackers and used to throw it from the top of the block..

<a href="http://s1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb440/zeddy9/?action=view&amp;current=whiterabbit.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb440/zeddy9/whiterabbit.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

My grandmother used to buy many packets of these White Rabbit candies during Chinese New Year..

<a href="http://s1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb440/zeddy9/?action=view&amp;current=duvlemintsmall.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb440/zeddy9/duvlemintsmall.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Chewing gum back then was as legal as a packet of condoms.. Think they banned it during the early 90s.. Now we can only chew these gums in JB..:(

Im finding those metal toy gun picture, those with red rolls with gun powder dots, when trigger, sparks will ignite, cant remember what is it called... hahahah

White rabbit.. All this are gone ar... Never noticed that no more White rabbit..

Blame the 7-11 and Cheers from taking over Convenience shop aka mama shops..

I always wanted to open a mama shop business.. But with my own touch but now you have to compete with all this cheers/7-11 monopolizing the market.. No wonder they dont allow 7-11 in Australia.
