Each project must be very profitable. Think of the cabling, ventilation, aircon, lighting for all the underground tunnels. Then lifts, escalators, travellators etc.

35 years old trains shouldn't be in use anymore, even if proper maintenance have been administered. Their frames and structures will be subjected to fatique at such an age, especially when the trains are operated at more than 18 hours/day and under heavy loads, especially during peak hours.
