SINGAPORE - The woman in the sex-for-contracts trial of former Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) chief Peter Lim Sin Pang liked him more than he liked her, Lim testified in court yesterday.

He faces one charge of corruptly obtaining oral sex from Ms Pang to advance the business interests of her then employer.

Lim recounted a fourth lunch in Parkway Parade in February 2010, during which Ms Pang told him she was wearing an ancient Chinese underwear garment.

After lunch, while waiting for his driver, she grabbed his arms and pulled him towards her body "in a suggestive way", he said. He later added that she "pressed her body against me" and told him she wanted to have sex with him.

He said that after that incident, he was "prepared to offer myself to her" as he did not want to reject her.

Then, on the evening of May 2, 2010, he asked Ms Pang to take him home from a wedding dinner as he was drunk.

At some point when they were in her car, parked at a carpark at Stadium Walk, Lim said Ms Pang made the first move to grab his hand.

After that, they started kissing and hugging. She later told him to unzip his pants and lower them, before performing oral sex on him.

He said they stopped as he "could not respond to her" and was not fully aroused.

But Lim asserted that he was not corrupt.

"The oral-sex episode was a personal failing on my part. I'm sorry to my wife and my child for committing this lapse to my conduct," he said.
