Original title: Huawei foreign executives shouting about the United States and Australia: If you want to ban, you can ban it.

[Text / Observer Network Gu Zhixuan] Andy Purdy, a foreign executive of Huawei who became popular because of "the war of the United States," stood up and "faced".

This time, when he was interviewed by Bloomberg, he directly yelled to the United States and Australia: If you want to ban Huawei, you can ban it, but you can also eat it. Your own communication system and network are not safe enough.

These two countries are currently the only countries that explicitly prohibit Huawei from participating in local 5G construction.

Prior to becoming the chief security officer of Huawei's US company, Perdy served as a US federal prosecutor and also served for the US Department of Homeland Security. Rich experience in government work has allowed Perdy to understand the “vulnerabilities” that the US has when accusing Huawei, and to smash them one by one in the face of media criticism.

"You are not safe enough yourself"

Last Thursday (1st), Purdy participated in a panel discussion at the China Institute, a non-profit organization in New York, on the topic of competition between China and the United States in technology development.

According to the Xinhua News Agency, when talking about the Trump administration’s “Huawei ban”, Purdy said that it is not clear how much impact Huawei will have, but “it is certain that the US company receives $11 billion a year from Huawei. Orders may not be guaranteed."

He pointed out that in the United States, about 40 rural telecom operators and tens of thousands of rural residents benefited from Huawei's "safe and competitively priced" equipment, and being forced to abandon the use of these devices would make them "unhappy."

For some time, the United States has tried to persuade its allies not to cooperate with Huawei to build a 5G telecommunications network. The reason is the so-called "security issues", including possible "backdoor and data leakage risks."

In this regard, Perdi raised the phenomenon that some countries in turn put pressure on Washington because the latter could not provide any evidence to prove that Huawei had misconduct.

On the same day, Purdy also accepted an exclusive interview with Bloomberg anchor Shery Ahn.

During the interview, the anchor asked, "How do you convince the outside world that Huawei can trust?"

Purdy replied, “One way is to discuss some specific measures that can provide insurance and transparency for our products and employee behavior.”

"To be honest, when you look at the 'global movement' launched by the United States against Huawei in the past 18 months, you will be surprised to find that many countries and even the closest allies of the United States are fighting back," he said. Both the UK and Germany said they have not received any evidence from the US that Huawei is having significant misconduct in cybersecurity. They are just continuing to seek ways to reduce risk, as all experts have called for."

Purdy further shouted to the United States and Australia, "If you really want to ban Huawei, you will be banned. But take the necessary measures to ensure the security of communication systems and networks, because you are not safe enough."

He also revealed to the anchor that in the next five years, Huawei will invest $2 billion to improve the software engineering process to address network security vulnerabilities.

Half-year revenue still increased by 23%

In fact, when Perdi’s “Fighting” Fox Business Channel (FOX Business) anchor Maria Bartiromo’s questioning in June clearly pointed out that the news about Huawei’s “back door” was simply The Dragon Incident, on the other hand, is the US network provider Cisco, which has seen 8 to 10 "backdoors" in its products over the past year or two.

At that time, he bluntly said that the United States could investigate Huawei on the so-called "security risk". "I am very happy to arrange such a dialogue and visit to the US government (to Huawei)."

In the first half of this year, the Trump administration upgraded Huawei's “extreme pressure”, but as far as the actual results are concerned, the company has not been affected too much. The half-year revenue is still growing at a high rate of 23%, but Intel and Qualcomm. AMD and other Chinese suppliers have suffered a decline in revenue across the board.

At the performance briefing at the end of last month, Huawei Chairman Liang Hua said, “So far, Huawei has not stopped production for one day, and did not interrupt the delivery of customers one day.”

Observer Network noted that after being listed by the US on the so-called “entity list” on May 16, Huawei has signed 11 5G contracts, currently 50 in total, ahead of the other two major 5G suppliers in the world. (43 copies) and Ericsson (23 copies).

Look at all the Chicom propaganda channels trying to defend Huawei.

That should be proof enough to indicate it's not just some private company like Intel, Qualcomm, Ericsson etc.

By the way, Meng Wanzhou can expect very fun times ahead. Jack Ma too.

This fucking ang-moh used to work for US internal security. Working for Huawei now is tantamount to treason. I'm surprised he is not charged for spying on behalf of CCP.
