Heard that many places with blue collar jobs like the coal mining industry was closed and put many ppl out of jobs cos of her policies and many ppl in scotland suffered too. There were so many celebrations with her passing. I think only the british elite felt sad for her demise. The common working man is actually very happy. As the coal workforce was close to half a million, they and their dependents were close to 2 million, their union became a powerful political power brokers and held the Labour Party in its clutches. They also held the country to ransom as the country dependent on UK mined coal for the winter.

She took over and called their bluff. That action led to the recovery of the economy.

Nobody is going to pay for a welfare state or an industry that is no longer viable.
