Big Gallant (4 ) all the way !!!


RACE 2



Many debutants with unexposed form here. Big Gallant (4) scored a solid barrier trial victory on November 15. Drawn nicely and could make a winning debut. Naturalbornfighter (6) showed some early pace but got beaten out of his ground in third. Will improve and should finish closer this time. Liberty (10) has trialled fairly and has drawn marble one. May run a place. Terra Firma (8) will be fitter for this run. May be looking for more ground, but can still run to finish on board.

The Singapore Turf Club will implement a number of changes to the totalisator wagering rules and policies based on the outcome of a comprehensive review conducted by the Club.



The changes include the introduction of a new bet type and the fine-tuning of rebates and minimum dividends.



Introduction of New Bet Type – ‘Quadro’


A new bet type, named the ‘Quadro’, will be introduced from Wednesday, 19 January 2011. Quadro requires a customer to pick four horses to finish in the first four positions, in any order. Quadro will be offered on all races with a minimum of six starters. Each unit bet costs $2 and the minimum dividend is $3.



More Customers to Enjoy Rebates



The Club has revised the rebate scheme for Singapore and Malaysia races as follows:

It is pretty hard to go past Better Than Ever (1). Beaten just twice in 16 start career and just once here in Singapore. Trialled most impressively last week and the 1400m trip looks ideal first-up. Always Certain (2) has chased Better Than Ever for the majority of his career and is sure to be running on again at the finish while Art Of Speed (7) is a most promising galloper who has race fitness on his side and can be expected to go close. Tenzing (9) is coming off a freshen but is reportedly working well and is sure to be running on at the finish.
