RACE THREE, RATED 100-80 (C2), 1,400 METRES Cerise Cherry has been coming along nicely and he had the better of Sham Shui Po during their 800m match-up nine days ago and has caught the eye in other workouts, too. Appreciation has had a typical John Size training regime during the break and he looks in good order. Deposer has had a full schedule of work, including two nice trials, and he is in forward condition and should run a good first-up race.
RACE FOUR, RATED 120-95 (C1), 1,200 METRES
Dynamic Blitz may not be as good on the turf but he has been ticking along well during the break. His Monday's 800m (23.7, 22.0) turf chute was solid. Amigo trialled superbly after being blocked in the crucial stages 13 days ago to indicate he hasn't missed a thing during the off season. Lucky Nine has had some eye-catching gallops and his trial effort (last Saturday) after missing the start was outstanding. Shining Victory looks a picture as he has been stretching out smoothly in series of 400m pieces. The same can be said about Brilliant Chapter, who did a searching 800m turf chute on Monday.
RACE FIVE, RATED 40-15 (C5), 1,400 METRES Namjong Fighters has been restricted to leisurely workouts but he trialled well last Saturday. He looks in good order. It seems like Fantastic Time has come good after his minor setback as he has been moving along fluently and his trial effort 12 days ago was a good indicator. RACE SIX, RATED 60-40 (C4), 1,200 METRES Fatboy Sugar has had a good preparation and his trial effort last Saturday indicated he is spot-on. The same can be said of Lombardi, who has done some eye-catching pieces and a trial. Superior Unit shot out of the gates on Monday, clocking 21.6 with Brett Prebble. Mighty Winner stretched out nicely on Monday with Jeff Lloyd over 800m to clock good times. He looks a picture.
RACE SEVEN, RATED 100-80 (C2), 1,000 METRES Blaze King did two smashing 800m pieces - one on the dirt (18 days ago) and other on turf (11 days ago) and topped it off with another brisk 400m on Friday to indicate he is in grand order. Mulitiglory has had a series of smooth workouts and his trial win 10 days ago confirmed he is ready for more glory. Kildare is well rated now and nothing can be faulted in his work and trial effort last Saturday. He is fit. Ocean Wide has had plenty of pacework and a few 1,200m gallops, but he has a healthy appearance to himself.
RACE EIGHT, RATED 80-60 (C3), 1,200 METRES
Best Win has been here long enough and has been coming along nicely for his first-up outing. He had a good blow-out last Saturday during his 1,000m turf trial win. Good Words is another classy animal and he has done everything right, including a nice trial win, for a bold first-up show. He is in forward condition. Winning Fellowship hasn't had much work but all his six gallops over 800m and 1,200m were achieved with a minimum of fuss.
