Eg. Alarm systems, security grilles, good locks, sensors(movement, vibration etc), surveillance cameras, panick room, land mines(just joking), electric fence(just joking II), tree house watch-tower(like the one in Sanur's villa), bunker, radar, escape tunnel etc.

By the way, does anyone know of any professional security grilles(imported brands) in Johor?
Is the installation of grilles one of your top priorities for your home security or you would rather rely on other security measures as grilles are just too unsightly?

I am thinking of planting some pine trees along the outside perimeter of the wall fencing, to block the sun. However will it compromise security as intruder can use the tree to climb into the fence? What kind of trees will provide shade and yet improssible to climb ?

Can plant bamboo and other shrubs, like those planted to cover TNB substation, can provide shade and yet cannot climb.

I'm also thinking of planting something like shrubs to add to the fencing.

Yes, install grilles. Actually dont find them too unsightly anymore, nowadays think grilles look acceptable.

Yes, bamboo is a good solution.

We will be installing alarm and cctv, besides the usual grills.

You think so highly of me, mine is the standard basic grills lah. Btw never heard of people installing imported grilles with higher security capabilities, just curious on the features and price, can share more?

For exterior are best is Stainless steel , interior wrought iron will do . Now the debate is, will you install grills at those level 2 windows / doors ?

I prefer not to install on level 2, but the alarm will be in place.

Break-ins are also on the rise even in safe Singapore and there have also been cases of Spidermen in Sg who climb into flats via windows, especially those high level units where the owners thought no thief would risk his life trying to climb into their unit at such heights.

I intend to install grilles for every doors and windows, even access from the roof as that's one of the common entry point where the 'spidermen' enters a house. What about you?

Me also thinking of installing the upper floor all windows / doors . However will be very costly as my house got so many windows and big sliding doors ! Maybe can use IR sensors to "secure" the upper floors , can cut down some cost as well as improve the views . Off cause , electronic cant totally replace the mechanical grills .

Interesting, quick escape window is good. One of them has global installation service.

How does on secure the roof other than electronic means?

Someone told me can fix aluminium bars across the ceiling, and must be aluminium in order not to void the fire insurance. Don't know whether true or not.

True.. if security is a concern, open concept house in EL could be a concern right? Maybe why some people still prefer condo for security. . But it is never gonna be enough. .
