Home Hunting

wahahahahaaaaaaa .............

Hello Blackie :) I am appalled by that clownish statement from the forum owner ~ really conduct unbecoming for him to write rubbish. I can accept it if a short stuttering man does it, but not him. If it is face to face, I would have given him a dressing down with my eyes!

Superb post! Must be a veteran in the playing field. How's biz at your hotel - hotel boss ?

Blackie, I thought I saw a Hotel Boss somewhere before. I think it is near Singapore Immigration Building at Lavender. We drove by that place previously and joked with him that if anyone asked where my visiting overseas boss is staying, I will reply HOTEL BOSS. :) :) :)

Pfftt to you too. Ikea is getting better known for their meatballs than their furniture. ;)

Hello C3P0, I was just scanning if I had missed any post ~ which are worth my time responding.

Yep, I do like Ikea meatballs. Sometimes, I would buy them from the freezers at the ground floor (at Ikea Alexander) and use those balls in making my beef noodle soup at home. :)

Hi Big :) Though you are highly blunt, I guess you are right to a certain degree about what you just said. I am working on this. I cannot be as blunt as those covetous China ladies ~ like what I read in the media.

This is the reason why local women are too timid to ask and just want to wait for coconut to fall from the tree, unlike those foreign imported ah tiong bu, the pinoy bu, the vietcong bu and other female foreigners who simply climb up the tree and pluck it off.

that's right. their houses in china needs reno several times a year and their parents and siblings fall ill all the time and at the same time too.

Yesterday evening, after work, we went for a quick dinner bite at Ikea Alexandra, thereafter, met his property agent, proceeded to Tanglin Park for a home viewing.

Reached home, goodbye kiss to him, took a shower, and I was chatting with Sue on Whatsapp on my comfy bed. I told her the above and the question Sue instantaneously asked was: “Are you going to be a joint owner on the strata title deed?”

“Err… I really don't know. I had presumed so, that's why we are home hunting together as a couple, isn't it?” I replied Sue extemporaneously.

This question did bug me the whole of last night and even on the train this morning, and more than a few questions kept appearing in my thought bubbles.

Well, I didn't recall him saying that the new place will be in our joint names, but his "conduct" did give the impression that it will be our joint matrimonial home. Why the heck he talked about me getting upset over those “ex-flames” horrendous junk in his place? Am I too presumptuous? Did I "jump the gun", agreeing to view an apartment with him too soon? Why the heck he asked me to view if he is going to buy in his sole name?!?

I am now caught in sort of a dilemma. If I ask him later about joint ownership, it does make me look like some covetous China woman after his assets and keeping close tab on him. If I don't, I would probably be flexed out, if things doesn't work out between us in future. What a bloody mess! It's affecting my mood a little and those period "pangs" in my tummy aren’t helping either. I guess I only have to wait and see what's next in this home hunting episode.

Men. Any idea what is cooking in his grey matter? I am hoping to tap into some of your clairvoyance to understand what this swine is up to. And, btw, is Tanglin Park a good place to stay? How is the area really like?

Thanks.

What's stopping you from offering to pay part of the housing mortgage?

When my wife and I bought our matrimonial home, she paid about 30% of it and we each have a 50% share in the house. It was fair because 30% was all she could afford and I took it to mean she was serious about the long-term prospects of the relationship (even though we already were married).

Where is your GCB located? Holland Park, Ridout Rd, Belmont Rd, Bin Tong Pk, Cable Rd, Dalvey Rd, Cluny Hill, Old Holland Rd? Or at Jalan Kukoh?

Ask him just before he about to sink his penis into your vagina...

Hi Charlie :) It's nice to see you "communicating" with me again. I had seen you around a couple of times when I am in here. But I had assumed that you were probably "not willing" to communicate with me. I guess I was assuming. It's great to have you giving me your views and I really cherish them, honest :)

You are right that the correct phrase is "house hunting". I use "home hunting" in the Singapore context as I couldn't put myself to call a flat or apartment ~ a house.

To me, a house is a landed property. Surely, where you are now, there are plenty of houses, but not here for most of us here ~ in terms of affordability and choices.

Ooops, not being defensive :o, just sharing my reason why I used the term "home hunting".

Have a great day Charlie. :)

Good Day [Claire],

In terms of land mass, there is more land and houses in Canada.

Unfortunately, in the past decade, the price of real estate in Toronto and Vancouver has increased significantly.
It has also affected the real estate in the Greater Toronto Area (commonly referred to as the "905 area", the suburbs and cities in 905 area code [289 has been added], whereas Toronto's area code is 416, and 647 has been added).

I agree with another individual who indicated that if in the past, your bf has purchased real estate with only his name on title, it is likely that he will do the same now, for all the convenience and ease for him.

In Toronto, I know of one man who does not believe in matrimony, but "live common law" with his female partner(s).
Prior to his present common law lady, he dumped his prior common law "wife" whom he had been together for close to 20 years.
When that lady asked me, some 15 years ago, I indicated to her that if I was she, I would not be his "second" common law wife, because he does not believe in getting married,
as it appears that it is for his convenience. If he could dumped his first common law wife, it could happen to her.

How about Cluny Drive?
Very near to the then Raffles Hall and the clay court, when I went to university.

Along Bukit Timah. Actual location is classified, lest some opposition cocksucker try to kill me.

Evening Big. I guess it has more to do with the local culture and comfortable environment which we grew up. I never had to snatch for food on the dining table.
