Sometimes silence is really golden! Even if the STTA feels they are justified not to nominate Liu for Coach of the Year for whatever reasons, the least they could hv done was to keep the peace. Not nominating him is bad enuff as it is bound to raise eyebrows among the neutrals. But to bad-mouth him so publicly touches a raw nerve! A loose cannon needs to be plugged for the sake of all Singaporeans. We are made to look so cheapskate in the eyes of the international sporting community thru' no fault of ours. She just wants to play politics and score brownie points! Empty vessels make the most noise. As for the silly incident in which a weepy Gao Ning complained that he did not hv a coachby his table side, an explanation was oredi given which basically showed that Coach Liu did the right thing. If he had gone over to him, the girl's team may well crash out to the Koreans. Then it's recriminations and finger-pointing all over again. Whose fault anyway? Hire more coaches lah tio bo? CB mouth only noes how to pull rank. Basking in the glory of others. For those who defend the STTA's actions, like some Stompers, pse wake up to reality! you are absolutely right!!!!!!,,every country hired the best caoch to grab medals.period..Every caoch has his/her own idiosyncrasy, character, methodology..the host country dont heed all that as long as he abide by the law of the country..THE AIM IS TO SCORE INTERNATIONAL MEDAL.......
Now , after 42 years , we got Liu to boost up our REJECT TEAM FROM CHINA[ lets face it ,, they only release C grades players to other countries..IT WAS ALREADY A REMARKAQBLE ECHIVEMENT BY LIU..to push the players to get a silver medal!!!!!!!!

Then..this newly appointed Chief of STTA...create the whole fracas in STTA........
