I hope CSM do not touch Temasek. Temasek is toxic waste. Their accounting and reporting is a joke. I don't claim to have much insider news like some forum members. But when one Chao angmo FT come in and resigns almost immediately, it should be huge warning signs. Not that Ang Moh is ethical (BHP is corporate and environment crime champion)... But if a dirty lowdown mining giant CEO find the place too toxic, can you imagine how bad it actually is?

No. Like all CEOs and important position holders in the world, they are not paid high premium for their abilities but the responsibilities associated with the position. Therefore, anyone in a high executive position is a placeholder, no more no less. If he/she happens to have ability, it is a nice thing to masturbate over in public relations, but totally irrelevant. That is how you can get that Goodyear or Ho Ching in those positions. That is fine by me, as long as you have consistent accountability and transparency practices, externally. Temasek Holdings cannot operate secretly, because it was born of public funds and monies. So you need to report to the people. Even if it is a private company, you still need to report to your shareholders so they can decide whether to remove or inject capital or disband the entity. Either way, Temasek Holdings needs to either publicly provide reports to everyone, or send every Singaporean a confidential report, whichever Temasek Holdings find easier to do.
