【13:35】據附近肉檔負責人何先生表示，事發前他聽見附近佳寶超級市場有人爭執，約十分鐘後他見到一名軍裝警員，按槍追捕一名持刀男子，該名男子然後衝入佳寶超市內，約10餘秒後現場傳出槍聲。何續指，持刀男經常在附近排檔流連，疑染有不良嗜好，亦曾涉及偷竊案。
【13:10】現場消息指，一名男子今午到上址一間店舖，期間懷疑盜竊，店舖負責人見狀制止，賊人其後逃去，未幾有人持刀返回現場，向店舖負責人狂斬。警方西九衝鋒隊接報到場，有警員開槍制服疑犯，疑犯及店舖負責人受傷送院。

During the incident, a police officer shot and believed that the man with the knife was hit and was confirmed dead after being sent to hospital. There were two wounded in the incident, all of which were sent to Kwong Wah Hospital.
