She preferred to sleep with her bedroom window ajar to let in fresh air, despite having an air-conditioning unit in the room.

Then one night, a man stuck his hand through the bedroom window and touched her chest area.

And he returned twice in further attempts to molest her.

The experience traumatised her family so much that they moved out of their home of five years.

Yesterday, Wan Weng Hong, 27, was sentenced to 15 months of supervised probation for outrage of modesty and trespassing.

He was also ordered to do 100 hours of community service.
