He bites, beats and kicks me

When his passenger tried to walk off without paying his fare, taxi driver Tan Hang Meng (above) went after him.
What he did not expect was for the fare cheat to beat him up. He alleged that the young man punched him repeatedly and bit his hand so hard that it left teeth marks.
The incident on Thursday is the latest in a number of attacks on taxi drivers by their passengers in the last few months.
Mr Tan said that he had injuries to his head, left eye, both arms, chest and back. His legs were also scratched during the attack.
