Brand new shopping mall video taken at HD1080 today, showing @ the cinema level 8pm+ tonight 26th July 2010. 3 restaurants were closed down (the dark areas at the beginning part) game arcade got few people. Restaurants at the main food level with lots of empty table, during this peak dinner hour.

There was also no queue at the cinema, no one needs to wait in any line at all to get a ticket.

Escalators and lifts got just only few people moving.

You can choose to view full HD 1080 and full screen, it is very clear.

If you think Iluma is bad.. go Orchard Central.... that place is a ghost town

No Sinkies, understandable, sinkies taxed by PAP until beh tahan

Where are the tourists

In Perth, a mall open at this time with this level of traffic, is considered "bustling" :D:D:D

GDP doesn't tell you anything except the amount of economic activity. YOG and casino make up alot of that growth so it doesn't reflect in things like this shopping mall.

We were told tourist arrival is up. But all know that they are mainly Malaysian budget tourists coming in bus loads checking out the Casinos. Don't believe that they are here to eat and shop considering the exchange of 2.4.
Another spin by the 154th.

You are correct. GDP doesn't tell much. If the Sultan of Brunei came here to buy 10 more Rolls Royces and Chinaman buys 10 off S$46M bungalow, these are also reflected in the GDP.

The rich spend on all the big ticket items lah... that's why the growth. Chinapore is hitting its target of having the MOST millionaires in the world. More foreigners, morer inflation and morest foreigners.

Yeah cow ectoplasm man now that you said it that sure looks like Perth :D

Why the need to settle overseas now when there is so much space and quiet here

Kinda feel sorry for the arcade operators there as they cashed in on the Street Fighter IV fame a little too late. They got in when the trend is starting to wane, and now that Super Street Fighter IV is out very few among the trend-following sheep out there would now bother so much with the original.

Gotta spend money to upgrade, again. But the intention to provide a playing space there is a nice touch.

The most success shoping is Jurong Point. In 10 year expend 2 time now the total area at least 10 times. Crowded most of the time.

Far East Org. always build those ghost malls.

GDP ; is actually Gahmen Gross Domestic Product....not meant for local MNC
or local company...only gahmen dept.....SIA, PSA, JTC, Tomasick, DBS, POSB,
Keppel, Capitaland now also part of Tomasick, HDB, URA, LTA, PSA, so only gahmen related company etc is enjoying the booooooooooooom town charlie....

Local company is bleeding now especially in new shopping centre like Illuma???
Is New York Restuarant still there??? A big hooha before opening...

Wah why do you bad mouth them? Aren't these malls at very good locations?
How can they have no business? Far Eat won't go wrong given their experience
and capability. They own Orchard Road leh, are you saying Orchard no one go?

Iluma's facade look so high class, who in Bugis want to go? They all go to OG lah.

their tourist will also include those PRC chickens who came on tourist visa and parade/lelong their CCB in the casinos:oIo::mad:

of coz no business lah every mall also the same...zara, topshop, giordano or etc....

have something different and it will attract....

if illuma or orch central were to have H&M, A&F, Hollister, Lowry Farm, Vic Secret. Peach Jones, Hare, Superfly and etc.....

they probably attract more crowds male and female

So that's what that place is called, the Illuma

Bugis Junction Mall is usually very crowded. The fengshui for Illuma needs to be improved, must add a connection to the MRT station :)

You can always go and see it yourself.

Central at CQ have many empty stalls.

Orchard central....sigh...u go and see it for yourself.

Square 2 @ novena even worse....so many empty stalls inside.
they are lucky they have NTUC fairprice at the highest level...if not,
nobody bother to go up.

The pacific? ever since HMV moved out....the place is damn ulu.
The only time i go there is to look for Addidas LE stuff.

These malls doesn't have an anchor tenant.
and
not forgetting their interior layout is like a maze for mice.

:o :( :o
