A lot of those EP holders very quickly converted to PR after a couple of years working in Sinkieland.
So long he pay imcome tax, he will be considered favorably for PR status.

I believe u. Especially those EP holder. Considered as "professionals". I have a friend. Lift technician. S-Pass. Roughly 1.5 yrs to wait before he got his PR.
