if god was so powerful and he created everything why he allowed satan to turn bad ? hes so powerful yet he could not control satan ?

hi drifter. He did not prevent satan from turning bad for the same reason he allowed Adam/Eve to be tempted, which is to give them a choice.

He created everything to be good and beautiful and for fellowship but He also allowed choice. The understanding is satan , who was one of the higher angels, wanted to supplant God so there was rebellion then fall from grace then sin.

God, if He had so wanted could have controlled, satan just like he could have controlled Adam/Eve and can control us, but He does not want it this way. He wants for us to have free choice.

hi drifter, Why God chose this way i really do not know so i wont try to con you or anyone else. To me God sees much more than us so by faith i accept.
I trust God but my life has not been a bed of roses.Like eveyone else on this forum and everywhere else it has its ups and downs but i have surrendered my life to Him and trust Him, that He will work out everything for me and my family. We just do our best in all areas of our lives and leave the results to Him.
If i kena accident and got crippled of course i dont like. I sure kpkb to God and ask why i kena such things. God does not get angry if a person asks sincerely. I am sure after asking i will learn to accept and get on with life and not be bitter. In fact even recently i had what i thought was a major setback and i asked God what was happening. But after praying and spending some quiet time it sort of became much better. Let me also say that i didnt hear God specially speak to me but it just became better that i unloaded my frustrations and disappointments to God. In the end this became what Hokkiens say ' eng a tai chi '
So this is the situation. Its about God but its also about you. If you do good and try your best then generally speaking you will succeed and have peace.

If you do bad and kena trouble then you cannot say ' ah God is testing me' . A lot of things are up to us. God has set general rules like if you do good then good will come but if you play with fire then you can kena burned.In some cases i believe He will intervene to help but generally its up to us.
So its not a heads/tails situation.

how you know hell is real and not manmade to make you obey them by injecting fear ?

hi again drifter. Satan is very powerful and nothing manmade can control , contain or secure him. But in the end he will be thrown into the burning lake of sulphur for eternity ( see Revelations 20:10 ). He cant escape from there for all time so this place must have been made by God.

he just asked in a true/false format so i answered him that way. I dont think i am smarter than anyone. I am sure you are smarter than me in many ways. I am here just to share my views in the religious section which was created by the owner of this forum. You are here for similar reasons i am sure. We exchange views and ideas and i hope we respect one another as humans and maybe later even as friends even though we have different and even opposing viewpoints on religious issues.
I dont think anyone is here to prove how smart or clever he or she is .

Okay i will offer some reasons for my thinking here.

1. True - hell unfortunately had to be created because in the end there will be 2 types of people. Those who accepted and those who didnt. The Bible says there is no middle ground.

2. False - God created them that part is true but He didnt create them for the purpose of doing bad. So he didnt create them so that they could lead prople into sin.

3. God created but He gave choices . Some of them rebelled then became imperfect and then bad.

4. Pride is in all of us as it was in the angels since creation. Its whether we give in to this pride or not.

5. The firstborn - it does sound very terrible and bloodthirsty i have to agree, but remember that Pharoah brought this upon himself. He had many chances and warnings given to him but continued to be defiant and stubborn. In the end such stubborn sins can beget very terrible consequences. God is good,compassionate, merciful etc etc etc but God is also Holy and has to punish repeated and continued sin.

the Bible does say that YHWH hardened pharoah's heart but in fact YHWH merely confirmed what pharoah intention's were, which is to disobey and keep the Jews as slaves.
Today it is different, yet the same. Prolonged disobedience will result in a hardening of hearts which will lead to even more disobedience until it is virtually impossible to return to God i.e. a hardening of the heart towards God. And the results will be ultimately the same which is eternal seperation from God.

2) so he created satan and hell just for fun ? i thought your god knows everything ?

Hi. When God gave satan a choice he was not evil yet. He was created along with the other angels to worship and have fellowship with God. He chose to rebel.

Free choice is the choice to accept God or not.

Merciful to everyone who accepts but still sins in that He provides forgiveness. To those who still do not accept He still reaches out. Some respond at the very end of their lives, like the robber who was crucified with Jesus but some do not accept till the end.

But in the end there will be judgement. God is merciful but He is also holy. At the end of the day He must still judge.
