George Yeo is a staunch Roman Catholic but he's also a realist. I am ok as he does not allow his religious views to cloud his judgement. I will have a problem with him if he does. However I have a big problem with him being with the PAP.

It is a grave mistake to treat addictive activities as personal choice. Is drug taking a personal choice that should be allowed? Is the father who borrows from loan shark or kills his family due to casino losses doing so out of choice?

I think we need to strike a balance. I wouldn't want to live in a society where gambling, vice, and other 'alternate' lifestyles are outlawed....might as well migrate to N Korea or Iran!! But we need to keep the balance in check.

Bro, that depends on what kind of Balance or the definition of balance. In the nutshell Singapore is a small country built on the basis of meritocracy which its leaders have high morality with strong principle of confucianism but Singapore is also a strange country in Asia / world that:

1) a tiny island with 2 casino.
2) legalized prostitution.
3) its leaders have highest pay in the world.
4) its government buys Brompton Bike and Herman Miller chairs for its civil servants.
5) confucianism and morality but Dr Vivian debated vigorously on hawker and restaurant food.
