Game Changer: China's DeepSeek R1 crushs OpenAI!

Can it has a better name DeepSeek sound like DeepShit,
and when it don't perform to what it is expected the whole world will change its name.
bayis will be happy with the name as it sounds like a sikh brother named dipshit singh.

Having played around with Deepseek now I can tell you this;

The only difference is the volume of it's knowledgebase.

Deepseek's reasoning and memory model is extremely good.

It just lacks the data.

Ok, for those that don't understand this.

Imagine two children equally intelligent and with all things equal...

One of them is now 13 and learned lots about the world they live in, so they can reason pretty well and converse with an adult.

The other is 6 years old, makes mistakes but shows an equal amount of intelligence and problem solving, just without the life experience, yet.

Except...

The 6 year old is given steroids to enhance their knowledge faster.

By the time this 6 year old turns 7 it's now got equal knowledge of the elder child.

I'm deep into AI doing lots behind the scenes and I read this stuff daily.

Most of the AI stuff is fluff and temporary.

But Deepseek could potentially cause massive political and economical rifts.

Think I'm being extreme?

NVIDIA will be worried to the extent they might disappear into irrelevance in just a few years after being the most sought after stock.

Why?

Because Deepseek has shown you don't need all that crazy processing power.

Just a decent laptop...

The same time the US put aside $500bn to become the AI leaders...

Some Chinese guy creates Deepseek as a side project to show how it can be done with little investment ($6M compared to what has been invested in Open AI is tiny).

What does this mean for us?

1. AI accessible to anyone on the planet with a computer and internet. Free or low priced.

2. Anyone can build anything with AI at close to zero cost

3. Disruption of all these businesses trying to make money off AI because folk can create their own AI

4. Deepseek is developing agent functionality which means for example.... You could build your own AI agents in your own home on your own machines to do almost anything, from home automation systems, to completely managing your social media or perhaps your finances. It's all to play for.

5. The US always wants control. If AI control falls into the hands of the common man and cannot be exploited for profit well... I think you know how that goes. The same way Tesla's free electricity concept would never be developed.

I'm on the side of AI being a truly beneficial milestone for mankind.

But I know the powers that be like the status quo.

And they would not want the wealth to be fairly distributed.

Or for power and control to not be in their hands.

But just like in the movie 300 when the Spartan leader merely grazed the enemies cheek to draw blood when he self confessed as a god...

I'm not saying Deepseek is going to be the only AI everyone uses.

But I'm saying it will open the eyes to others of what can be done to create better AI systems than what we have.

It's open season.

Deepseek has just undermined an entire economical and political model that the powers that be thought they had control over.

Deepseek exposes Beekok tech AI dominance lie, just five hyperscalers are projected in capex collectively to spend $1 Trillion from 2024 to 2027, which in turn is driving massive in revenue expectations for AI hardware names

US tech companies have committed to spending hundreds of billions in the belief that building super-human AI will require unprecedented investments in data centres, electricity and microchips.

Last week Donald Trump hailed a $500 billion (£400 billion) plan by the tech companies OpenAI, SoftBank and Oracle as the “largest AI infrastructure project in history”. In contrast, DeepSeek claims that one of its recent systems cost just $5.6 million to develop.

The claim sparked alarm about possible overspending by US companies. America’s Nasdaq stock market fell by more than 3 per cent on Monday, with the drop at one point wiping more than $1 trillion off the index of technology stocks. Shares in Nvidia fell by more than 15 per cent.

US companies are conning investors by over hyping their value when in reality, its not worth much. Even elon said his companies are way over valued.

huat ah! nasdaq shakes off deepshit after finding out it cannot scale without the horseshit power of nvidia chips and servers.

US will just do to deepseek the same as tik tok, demand it to be handed over to US or banned.
