You sound like a wise player. We shd try not to risk unnecessarily. Stay alive and let the banker take cards. Even if you have small points, you still win when banker gets >21 points and dies. So the aim is to stay alive. But it depends..if you have 12 points and the banker opens a picture card, what is best for you to do, draw card or stay at 12 points?

Pontoon & Blackjack can be fixed using the continous shuffling machines. For example, as long as the dealers has below 16 points he/she has to hit and the machine is enable the dealers draw up to 21 points to clinch a win against all players on the table. That also after all decisions make by the players. A lot of people said Pontoon & Blackjack can be fixed and the dealers can win it all.

I have only been to MBS twice or thrice. I am almost like a resident at RWS and from my observation, no small time gambler has 'upgraded' to big time gambling. It is always downgrading - from big time to small time. For some, even worse. From big time to MIA.

Very true. If you want it fairer, don't bet on banker. Coz there is a 5% commission on some tables while others pay half if banker wins on 6.

Yes, perhaps you are a rare breed who has good discipline and can control yourself. You know yourself best. Dun gamble is a generic advice

But, if you have to tell your son abt gambling, wld you say.."gamble smart or dont gamble"?

The guy I mentioned abt was smart, analytical, rich, etc..he was making a lot of money throughout painting the casinos red but he hit a bad patch and lost his gf. He used to tell me he knew what he was doing and was confident he wont get into gambling trouble..He is still suffering now..

I know one old couple (around late 50's) they sold their HDB flat and stay in Harbour Ville Hotel on discount rate long term there. The uncle drive a taxi & with his wife gamble professionally in RWS almost everyday. The uncle said they alway redeem 3 meals using comp points in RWS foodcourts.

While in MBS, many snobbish sinkies ended up selling their cars away to finance their fight back in the gambling tables

True, true. Better not to gamble but if mati mati must, better gamble smart. I see gambling as a biz. A biz whereby I need not pay rental, salaries, CPF for staff, levies, taxes etc. Also, I needn't bother about staff or customer problems. Being a previous nightclub shareholder, now I need not worry about police raids.

With no overheads to worry me, I set aside a small sum to 'invest' in my gambling biz. I bring in 1k a night. Leave at 300 winnings. That's 30% a day. Of course there is no 100% sure win. Based on my 6-7 months, I usually fail about 2-4 days in a month. Making 4-5k is not a big problem.
