Case 64076 is a 50 year-old male China national who works as a machine operator at Xinghe Knife Sharpening Service. He is a family member and household contact of Case 640091, and was placed on quarantine on 2 June. He is asymptomatic and was detected when he was tested for COVID-19 on 4 June during quarantine. His test result came back positive for COVID-19 infection the next day. His serology test result is pending.

McDonald’s delivery riders cluster

Already quarantined:

Case 64079 is a 29 year-old male Malaysia national who works as a delivery rider at Pizza Hut (Bukit Merah), and resides at Wanderloft Capsule Hostel. On 22 May, he underwent both an antigen rapid test (ART) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test at a GP clinic, and both results were negative. As he has been identified as a close contact of Cases 636292, 636683, 636944, 637915, 637966 and 638347, he was subsequently placed on quarantine on the same day. He is asymptomatic and was detected when he was tested on 5 June during quarantine. His test result came back positive for COVID-19 infection on 5 June. His serology test result is pending.

Case 64065 is a 13 year-old male Singaporean who is a student at Canberra Secondary School and was last in school on 18 May. He was tested for COVID-19 on 4 June during quarantine, and his test result came back positive for COVID-19 infection on 5 June. He developed a sore throat on the same day. As of 7 June 2021, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 5 new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection, all of whom are linked to previous cases, and have already been placed on quarantine. Based on our investigations so far, the cases are in the community, and there are no new cases in the dormitories.

2. In addition, there are 9 imported cases, who have already been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore. Of these, 5 are returning Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.

3. In total, there are 14 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore today.

4. We are still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MOH press release that will be issued tonight.

Case 64091 is a 34 year-old male Singaporean who works as a technical officer at Singapore Power and a part-time barber at Atatcutz Singapore (348 Bedok Road). He is a workplace contact of Cases 63969[1], 64049[2] and 64057[3], and was placed on quarantine on 2 June. He was tested for COVID-19 on 4 June during quarantine and his test result came back negative. He developed a fever and shortness of breath on 5 June and was again tested for COVID-19 on 6 June. His test result came back positive for COVID-19 infection on the same day. His serology test result is pending.

Case 64093 is a 39 year-old male Singapore Permanent Resident who is a manager at Prudential Services Singapore and has been working from home. As he had been identified as a close contact of Case 64057, he was placed on quarantine on 5 June. He developed a sore throat on the same day and reported his symptom. He was tested for COVID-19 infection on 6 June, and his test result came back positive for COVID-19 infection on the same day. His serology test result is pending.

MINDSville@Napiri cluster

Already quarantined:

Cases 64090 and 64094 are residents at MINDSville@Napiri. They are asymptomatic, and were detected from our proactive testing of residents of the Home. Both have already been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Case 64103 is a 55 year-old female Singaporean who works in an administrative role at Alco Engineering Trading Pte Ltd, and was last at work on 11 February. She is a family member of Cases 63964 and 64011[5], and was placed on quarantine on 2 June. She is asymptomatic, and was detected when she was tested on 6 June during quarantine. Her test result came back positive for COVID-19 on 7 June. Her serology test result is pending. Case 64103 received her first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on 1 May and the second dose on 22 May.

6. 25 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 61,660 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

7. There are currently 204 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 2 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit. 313 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19. 33 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.

Case 64107 is a 54 year-old male Singapore Permanent Resident who works as a vessel manager at NYK Shipmanagement Pte Ltd. He is asymptomatic, and was detected when he was administered both an antigen rapid test (ART) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test on 7 June before boarding a vessel. He was immediately isolated when his ART result came back positive for COVID-19. His PCR test result also came back positive for COVID-19 infection on 7 June. His earlier tests from Rostered Routine Testing (RRT) – the last being on 3 June – were all negative for COVID-19 infection. His serology test result is negative for the N antigen, which suggests the presence of early infection. Case 64107 received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on 25 January and the second dose on 17 February.

Case 64112 is a 35 year-old female Malaysia national who works as a retail assistant at Four Leaves (Ion Orchard and AMK Hub). She developed a fever, cough, sore throat and runny nose on 5 June but did not seek medical treatment until 7 June when she visited a General Practitioner (GP) clinic, where she was administered both an ART and PCR test, and was immediately isolated when her ART result came back positive for COVID-19. Her PCR test result also came back positive for COVID-19 infection on the same day. Her serology test result is pending.

She had not been vaccinated against COVID-19, and had a history of diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidaemia, hypertension and hypothyroidism. Khoo Teck Puat Hospital has reached out to her family and is extending assistance to them.

He developed a fever on 1 June and sought medical treatment at a General Practitioner (GP) clinic on the same day. He subsequently developed body aches on 4 June and returned to the same GP clinic. On both occasions, he was not tested for COVID-19. He was detected when he was tested on 5 June as part of Rostered Routine Testing (RRT). His pooled test result came back positive for COVID-19 on 7 June, and an individual test was done on the same day. His test result came back positive for COVID-19 infection on 7 June. His earlier tests from RRT – the last being on 8 May – were all negative for COVID-19 infection. His serology test result is positive. Case 64114 received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on 31 May.
