- He is doing well because of his work experience, not because of his academic papers. The MDIS degree has hardly any value-added. He did well in his career because of his willingness to roll-up his sleeves to work in Oil & Gas Industry. His company valued him because of his specialist diploma training with BCA for safety management. Without these factors, his Masters Degree will not get him a similar paying job elsewhere.
In a way, the MDIS article is misleading and contradict. If it's education is the reason behind the gentlemen's success, every secondary school student should go MDIS after O levels and get a Masters degree by 22 years old (assuming girl, don't need to serve NS). Even if they wanna do so, SOS recommends other institutions.
