Dear King
I believe the archives will hold some surprises as to the extent that LKY had to compromise in order to hold on to the support of his colleagues or to the extent that he had to adjust his views to their ideas. He may have been dominant in his prime , but his dominance had to be tempered by the fact that he was on a team who co founded the PAP with him. They might not have been willing to challenge him politically but the quid pro pro for the old guard was a greater lee way for dissent and independence then most people think.
Btw I am talking old guard as in LKY and his cabinet and close supporters.
